I get the audio but I get a purple screen with "HDCP unauthorised. Content disabled" across the middle.

Try completely unplugging the Roku from power and then going back in.

Or else try deleting and re-adding the channel if that didn't work.

I would occassionally get that when I used an HDMI switch with my Roku. Usually switching to another device and back would resolve the issue.

It affected all apps, not just CR, so it was a Roku issue.

HDCP is the copy protection used for HDMI. The error implies that there is something wrong with the connection of the Roku to the TV, likely a broken cable or other piece of hardware, like the aforementioned switch. It's a system error, not related to our app.
