So what do you think... I recommend watching the video.

I'm wondering if I got those kind of problem, that before Internet came around. But was told due to being born very small (size as a tennis ball or smaller) that they had to put me in glass box so I can breathe.. So I had no human connection (Mother unable to hold me).. That why I distance myself from people..

Just for the record I am a masochist, not a sadist. And for the record it's not narcissism, I know how damn fine I look alright.

How modest, Ranwolf-dono.

I dare you tell me this body is not the finest example of masculinitly my lovely Neko-sama.

Why, it makes my very tail tremble with lust, dear Ranwolf-senpai.

I make trolls on Yahoo Answers a little less happy... By reporting their answers and letting them know I reported their answers with a helpful answer (as helpful as possible) and a bit of trolling in with the answer. If it's an answer I just comment on the answer and they will never know...

I stopped doing it because:

Do not bother to read inside the spoiler or you will wish you hadn't.

Didn't see Yahoo sucks and i'm a hypocrite that just contradicted myself in that little list inside the spoiler...

1. It's pointless.

That it is.

The whole "troll" mythology is just that, second-generation mythologizing the days of 90's Usenet when
A) there was almost no moderation as we know it today,
B almost no consequence to the pecking-order adrenaline thrill of Net-bullying, which the media didn't know existed because they didn't know what was on the Internet apart from AOL
C) users were completely anonymous and faceless unless they had their own website,
D) there was no Twitter or Facebook, for people to make real or fantasy-jackasses out of themselves for vanity's sake (ahemranwolf), and
E) media Net-fear stories, possibly fearing rivalry, played up the entire unmoderated Internet as a Bartertown sin-city of porn sites, child-predators, movie pirates, and (gasp!) white-supremacists trying to spread their poison!

Naturally, every Beavis and Butthead who wanted to escape their parents on the computer went looking for these "evil" things, and when they didn't find them, tried to shock everyone else by pretending to be those evil racists, because back then, everyone was told they would run into one around every corner, and believed every single one of them like good little puppy-dogs. Mostly the Stern-zombies, who lived in a fantasy world where everyone would gasp in shock if you said "Big-boobed lesbian pornstars" ( ), and those who still believed in the old cliche' that any geeky lil' four-eyed Star Trek or Lucas fanboy would stomp his feet in rage if you started a Kirk vs. Picard war, or gave away the secret about who was Luke's father. These were more innocent times, you see.

Also, Usenet didn't exist in isolated forums; you could post to two or three groups at once--So, the "troll-conquered" groups like alt.fan.final-fantasy, or rec.arts.wwf, where the regulars already enjoyed spending so much time arguing, a troll invasion barely made a difference and there was no unified movement to kick them out, would be the "headquarters" from which trolls would literally try to find "virgin" groups where the nice happy folk enjoyed talking about their one boring subject, and try to throw rocks into the stream to see the ripples. They hoped to find the most inexperienced as possible, who believed them completely, and those more cynical groups who laughed them out and ignored them, they didn't take well.
Which explains why regulated Forums and Blogs eventually took over, and trolls could be made to go "poof" with the click of a Moderator button, sometimes permanently.
Nowadays, the only unregulated, unmoderated "democratic" places for anonymous posters to post is YouTube comments and YahooAnswers, and that gives you a sample of the stuff we got twenty years ago. Even if they're just doing it out of nostalgia, or think they're the first ones to do it.

It was around the waning days of Usenet, as Time-Warner had already dropped it, that one of the "king" crossposting trolls, "with a high degree of narcissism", bragged to all his crossposted groups that A&E was coming to his house to do a documentary on him. What he hadn't been told was that the crew was from "Intervention", to cover his cough-syrup addiction. He didn't take that well, either.
But that just sort of brought the whole era down with a crash: Up to that point, I liked to scientifically analyze the Internet Troll as a social phenomenon (I was one of the few people NOT traumatized by 9/11, because of a theory I had formed paralleling terrorist rhetoric with Internet troll rhetoric and the bombing with "group-bombing", which made Al-Qaeda sound exactly like a group of high-school kids afterwards), but after that...you're right. They were all just kids and stoners all along. POINTLESS.

Considering trolls usually try and insult people for no reason, the sadism isn't surprising.
