Assuming the car is a manual I could just stall the thing. The differential locking up will do my braking for me.

Modern planes have a ton of safety features in case both engines do fail. I'll go with that.

Even if the brakes don't work, the car will slow down to a speed where I jump out safely. Unless this is a Speed scenario. It's not I hope

1. Cruise ships don't sink quickly and are required to have enough life vests/lifeboats for all passengers.
2. I know how to make a floatation device from my pants if necessary.

I also personally know all the federal regulators for passenger vessel operations

Since the scenario is hypothetical I choose roller coaster with the spread tracks occurring on the slow climb upward.
