After finishing three anime's last week I had that What do I do now? moment and felt like I couldn't start a new anime just yet. I take a bit of time before I start a new series. I usually wait a day or two, unless it was one I really liked in which case I'll wait a little longer. Some people like to wait just like me while others can jump in to a new anime without skipping a beat.

So which one are you? Do you wait or do you move right along? What's the longest you've waited?

Given the nature of my job and the many hobbies/limited time I have I don't tend to waste it or delay any.

I watch 2 shows max, I like to take it all in. Any more than that I find it more difficult to enjoy each fully. Then I normally wait a few weeks.

It's nice to take a break after finishing a show to dwell on it for a bit, I think it's necessary to be able to fully appreciate it.

I remember one time during vacation, marathoned 7 episodes a day + a movie like every day with out any breaks, and once I was done I had a hard time paying attention to class because I was basically processing everything I had seen at once, I even got a bit of a headache.

something like that.

think of it like parting with your partner. and you're rebounding with someone else.

that's what it's like with me and a show i love. the new show may be a masterpiece, but it will just be a rebound until i can get over the previous show.

i get really emotionally invested in characters and the universe that the writer(s) created, sometimes it's hard for me to move on to a new show quickly, so i do sometimes wait it out so i can give "love" to the new show in fairness

I have 3 children and a home business and I guess anime is my hobby. So when I get a chance I jump right in. There are a few current anime that I like to watch so while waiting for an episode to come up I search around for a new one to fill in the gap.

I don't have the patience to postpone a day or 2.

I can't watch too many sad animes at once or else I'll be in tears.

Other than that I just watch anime marathon style nightly.

I don't sleep often...

I work full time and have a short attention span so i personally watch one show at a time and like some other members here my time can also be limited not to mention other hobbies too but i do sometimes feel like you do when i finish a video game for the first few days afterwards but the feeling soon fades away.

It depends on the anime. Sometimes it takes awhile to get back at watching anime especially if it was a good show. Other times, it can be within minutes I've found another show to watch.

I am in the same situation. Just finished watching Hunter x Hunter. I haven't watched any other anime in 2 weeks. It was such a great anime in my opinion, I am still drunk mentally over how much I enjoyed watching it.

Sometimes I watch random episodes of anime I've already seen before starting a new one. But I rarely ever take a full break from anime.

I do get emotionally invested. It takes a while to grieve the end of a show.
I read descriptions of anime, but it's not the one I just finished. It's not the one I fell in love with. It just doesn't scratch the itch.
But after a while, a day to a few weeks, something will catch my eye, and the roller coaster starts again.

I watch several differnt ones. Go from one series to another then back again, then something different. Crazy.
