i saw highschool DxD and i like it.
no not because, im into raunchy harem.
because they found a way to balance a story with the fanservice.
that made me enjoy it, and laught a lot(serious the 1st season ending worth it)
but then i realize there was one far better to it.
and that goes to Ranma 1/2, that made it, smarted.
so from robotech, to aldonah zero, cowboy bebop, to black lagoon,
and berserk, to claymore. they add their influence, but
where does otaku heads goes more for their anime fix?

the clasic, from the 80's or 90's, or the new ones that come out every season?
for my taste, the classic, cause after all i m 36(hahaha i m grandpa, shut up, ye time will come)

and as always thank for been awesome.

If people are talking about a series, I may go check it out, regardless of decade. lol

I'm not sure that I have a preference when it comes to that, to be perfectly honest.

I mean admittedly, if people can so highly praise a certain series from many decades ago, it certain makes me very curious. But more in a "Hmm, I wonder what about it makes it so relevant in people's memories today, that they still talk about it", kind of way. And I may or may not find an answer for myself when I watch it. But I'm happy with having further educated myself, regardless.

But that logic for me can apply to any other decade of an anime that others are mystified over, really. Even if it's not all praise. I just want to find out for myself.

(Also as a side note, I find your comment about being old at 36 mildly amusing. Just for the fact that I've already seen quite a few people in their 50's and 60's on this site. Now those people I feel would have some very unique perspectives on decades of anime, just because they've lived through more of it.)

I watch newer anime mostly, but I sometimes seek out something older if I'm curious about it. I haven't really developed a preference either way. There's older stuff I do and don't like; there's newer stuff I do and don't like.

BTW, I've moved this to the Anime forum.

There's anime in every era that don't exist in any other.

I don't judge show's by when they were made.

I can't get into the ones from the 80s/90s because of the animation

Why not both? Love of anime shouldn't extend to any one era or decade or whatnot.
