Based on Myriad Colors Phantom World Episode 8 – Break Through the Monkey Hot Spring! - at the 17 minute, 36 second mark (17:36), I'd answer "with Tail" as preference.

Gotta say with a tail. Girls would be more like animals if they did, and of course they are the cutest things in the world. So with a tail.

Since I don't like the idea of being equated to pets/animals, I'm going with "without a tail."

I voted without tail and that's a vote cast by a My Little Pony fan, to me It's as clear as black and white they are either animals with tails or humans without regardless how human like they might look and no Equestria Girls isn't human also... in my humble opinion.

In real life it's probably healthier not to have a tail.

I wouldn't mind it, however they would have more chances to get fleas and other things go wrong.
