My Turn:

Unforunately no there isn't a character from a book that I can relate to. But there characters that I like from books.

Ender/Bean from the Ender's Game universe. I do a lot of thinking, planning, and observing in social situations when I am not with close friends and I can relate to the social engineering those two do so well.

Durzo Blint from the Night Angel Trilogy. He's the kind of man I could see myself becoming if push came to shove ya know. He goes from a Prince to an immortal avatar of vengeance all for the sake of a self imposed duty and earning a reputation as the deadliest assassin known.

Sun Tzu, he isn't a character from a book. But he is amazing, at least to me. I relate to him.

The Boxcar Children, why? because I can relate to poverty or lack of basic needs and none of the kids in this story have hit puberty.

If manga counts as a book because it has pages then yes
The protagonist from bokura wa minna kawaisou, except less of a little girl

I'll take it.

The closest relatable character to me is probably Haruka from Free!, we're similar in the sense that we're both quiet and we care a lot about friends.

The problem I find with fictional characters is that they're too one-dimensional, so I can't really relate wholly to any one specific character. Real human personalities are multi-layered, and sometimes contradictory.

I give off an air of seriousness, but I do have a goofy side too, as evident in my avatar...

I really don't understand what it means for a character to be relatable. Not being snarky, I'm serious!

I don't really look for myself in other people, and by extension I don't look for myself in fiction.
I can, however, empathize with a character. I'd say that's the closest I can come to relating to one.

Mei from Say I Love You reminds me a lot of how I was when I was sixteen and still now slightly. If manga counts.

Also Edna from The Awakening for an actual book.
