What happens to you when you die?

I like this question because no matter how successful , rich, or popular with friends you have you're still going to be a decaying corpse with worms going into your eye sockets and bacteria raping your organs until your a pile of nothingness and all you ever did won't mattere and all you ever said won't matter to anyone.. ha ha ha....

I'd rather be.. a wondering/lost soul. It's more interesting.

Don't know why you'd want to see death in a mundane way.

I'd like to go to a sort of paradise or heaven when I die. I'm not exactly religious, but I dearly hope there is some sort of god that offers a paradise of an afterlife.

I really always think about this, I am really curious what will happen. I really can't wait to see what happens in a way.

I'm a Christian so I have to go with the heaven/hell. It's not about how likely it is. Faith is believing in something without need of evidence.
Besides the way I see it is if you don't have faith and it turns out to be true you go to hell. If it isn't real than it doesn't matter and neither does anything else.

I'll go with resurrection cause you'll have to ask a dead person/person who was dead to get an answer that is anything but heresay. They were resurrected after they died so yeah that happened and maybe if we get the technology to resurrect, resurrection will always follow death. I don't think I'm making sense, it's late in the day. Actually early in the next day...

What if the Muslims are right? What if the Buddhists are right? What if the Shintoists are right? What if the Hindus are right? You might get reincarnated into a worm!

What about the Jews, or the Catholics? If ANY one of the hundreds of different sects are right, then you are believing the wrong thing-- and what happens to you? Think of the risks you are taking! The VAST MAJORITY of the world does not believe the same as you.

How can billions of Muslims and Hindus and Buddhists all be wrong? They all think you're the one going to hell.

I'm assuming you're taking the side of the common christian, have you ever tried reading the bible with an objective mind? The bible promotes what is worst about humanity. God commands and rewards murder on the largest scale imaginable (innocent women, elderly, children and even babies). Moses and Joshua, following God's orders, slaughtered more people than Hitler.

The God of the bible commands and rewards theft, lying, slavery, rape, human sacrifice, murder and genocide. The bible upholds every vice and every injustice. It is cruel, intolerant, ignorant and violent. There is no book in the world more obscene, more morally repugnant, more evil, than the bible.

You said earlier that you don't need evidence because you have faith, well a 'person of faith' should not be admired, but should be pitied as someone who has lost the ability to distinguish fantasy from reality. Faith is not a virtue. It is a mental defect; although, i understand - Is far easier, and lazier, to answer the question of how something came into existence by saying "God made it so", than to actually investigate and research the true answer.

A true idea has no need of any faith
