Wow 12 to 11. This is screwed up. Really? Are you so offended by it you wish to ban it? Do you honestly think it does harm?

No!

Define Underage. because...

A) Its a piece of art that was drawn, not an actual person.

B) A Human's sexual organs go active around 12 or 13 or whenever, and during that time frame they've probably already had sex with consent of another, and this "Children are innocent" illusion is quite horse sh*t.

C) People will tell you what would legally make you an adult but not what really defines an adult, older cultures have made two 12 or 13 year olds marry.
You're an adult when you've hit the "Season for Love", and denying this and saying your an adult when the American Law says so, is showing that you believe in the Law above anyone else, the Law that someone else told you.

D) The actual real life of sex with someone who's like 8 or something would be wrong because they're sexual organs are not active, which would confuse and torment them, however when they're at the age of being active, its a subject of consent, also since we're talking about Hentai, Art of non existent people, but it is where do you place yourself, either by what you can learn or what the Law would tell you, for that is your belief.

E) There is the fact that you ought not test a nations laws at times, but you should ask yourself a question, how far can a nation's law bind you?

No. It's not going to cause harm to anyone. No idea why so many people seem to be willing to take away one's freedom of expression.

Depends how sexual but if its too sexual it should be taken down and that's it. Unless its extremely bad.

No because it's fictional. It's absurd to arrest someone for lewd art of underaged 2D characters and it's not like they hurt or damage anybody. People need to lighten up and worry about things that are actual problems. If fan art is their way of managing pedophilic urges, then it's certainly much better than the alternative of taking it out on 3D people.

Also, there's something wrong with all you guys who voted yes.

If it's just ecchi or lightly suggestive then that should be fine. I think if there's hentai fanart of kids (under 13 or so) being drawn by someone significantly older, then there's probably something wrong with that person.

Depends. I think there are laws concerning fan art of REAL PEOPLE. I know that pasting a young girls face on a nude adult body is considered child pornography, so I can imagine a suggestive sketch, although one must really ask if she was victimized (I think to an extent, yes, because kids can't really consent to being drawn or videotaped, even from memory). Not too sure of the legality of that however.

Reading up on it, it does appear to be illegal, provided you can prove the child in said image was real.

So wait, its only illegal if it has something to do with actual people in real life?

But if it fictional then draw away?

I don't know, I don't understand legalese.

In fact, that article left me more confused than before.

I dunno, thats how American law nonsense works, confusing and forgets everything it was meant to be.
Besides, Im soon gonna make a Web Comic Hentai in a sci-fi setting where a teacher has a crush on one of her male students xD
Plus once I become famous, people wont be shocked if I have made porn, because its what was there to begin with =P

Wooooow the amount of "Yes" votes
Good gosh. I for one vote no, because christ they are fictional characters and pixels on a screen for crying out loud. People our age should be smart enough to distinguish reality from fantasy.

Holy shit, this totally made me think of Eureka Seven.

Btw, I do not believe the same trends of thinking are the same for actual Anime drawers and producers over in Japan(Where its illegal to show public hair but ok to draw lolis? Its principal and understanding, who the fuck is going to molest the tv and fantasy about an imaginary character and put in jail over it...)
This debate is honestly more Western Culture based than anything.
(Remember the Elin from Tera, that was an epic CF on NA based EnMasse themselves.)

I simply cannot fathom why we have this moral compass that, 18 means its ok and under anything else makes you a kid. but I do agree with the whole you should not marry so fucking young. Sex is sex, unless its family or with actual children(who have not hit that hormone phase). Retarded yet here to stay. Like my dad told me, just cause you have hair on your balls doesnt mean your a man. Lets be real here, drawn media has been an outlet for those with those....tastes.
Marriage isn't something you should do so young, I can't stress this more than enough. Remember just because the law says its, doesn't make it right or wrong, it just makes it law.
