I don't know at which point in my life | got fed up with it, but I simply can't stand Dragon Ball type anime where everyone turns into an ultimate being just to be beaten by some ultimater evil being, leveling up and beating it just to get beaten by some other even more ultimate being and at the end of the day no one ever dies, and if they die they come back even more powerful just to get beaten again an so continues the endless loop. I guess that's why I stopped watching Bleach and even one piece.
I like anime where people fight and someone dies never to come back but those are few and far between unfortunately. |

I can totally understand why someone would get tired of the shonen genre, but at least they´re way better than all the magical school ecchi harem shows. Those shows are the true cancer of the anime industry and I´m completely tired of them

I dream for a day when ONE and Trigger make an anime together

Maybe I like when the enemy is perhaps more of an annoyance than a true danger, and that the process of beating the Ultimater being require TEAMWORK, Strategy, etc - I'm thinking Myriad Colors Phantom World - which is fairly light on how intense the 'good guys" need to up their game.

Then stop watching it? I don't really see the problem here, although I do sympathize when a show turns out to be radically different (or the same) than you hoped.

In my opinion.

All I know is I got real tired real quick of the never ending road shows (Bleach, Naruto and One Piece).

If ignorance is bliss; why aren't more people happy?

They're not that bad if they're done right. If the show overplays the "power of friendship" and "I'll be the strongest" themes, then yes, it gets old pretty quickly.

I almost forgot about this....

Well those types of series are on the decline. I am pretty sure only Naruto, One Piece, and Fairy Tail really follow that standard at the moment. The types of series that are more prevalent at the moment, though shorter lived, are the battle-school harems. The problem with those is that they are either overly melodramatic or they don't go anywhere, or both. |
