So, would you ever want to become friends with someone who is too serious and rude as well? Not only is the person rude and too serious, they take life way to seriously too. Can you become friends with someone like that?

Enjoy!!!

Yeah i dont think i really have any mates that are too serious. Some are a bit delusional or crazy or paranoid, might get caught up in certain things like conspiracy theories and that, maybe even be judgmental or not able to get over certian things or forgive but yeah i cant say that i hang out with people who take life too seriously.

Most my mates drink or get high or need to grow up lol. Stuff always stressing or being about all work and no play.

depends? from my experience there are very very few people who are truly that abrasive and it's worth to dig a lil deeper sometimes. often times people may come off as too serious or rude but it's just their exterior that's like that. i have never met someone that was inherently that high-strung unless they have anxiety or certain disorders (which wouldn't be their fault at that point)

i would say yes.
i knew a girl in class who was like that(way to serious although not really in life).
Most people find her awkward or a bit insensitive(cold hearted) so many kept distance or a fake face to her. As a unsocial psychopath i am i did not really care about that so started talking to her and now we really getting along.
Making fun of each other is part of friendship together with accepting each others flaws and merits(and making fun of it ).

The rudeness would be hard but I wouldn't have a problem with someone being too serious. Sometimes being around serious people is a good thing. If you're a bit goofy then you can help keep them grounded and help them have a bit of fun while they can help keep your head straight and help keep you grounded in reality. It's a win/win. I do know that a lot of very serious people who come across as rude really aren't rude at all. They're just very blunt and don't waste time with unnecessary words or games. Most of them usually know what they want in life and work really hard for it with the assumption that later on in life they can take it a bit easier and have some fun. It would really depend on the person and it really just depends on where the rudeness is coming from. If they're actually rude rude, then no. I won't allow anyone to treat me like that, not for any reason and I don't hang out with people who are jerks to others for no reason. If he's just being blunt and his heart is in the right place but most people see it as rude because they don't know him/her then I could definitely be their friend.

And dotsforlife hit the nail on the head. Super serious people are fun to mess with and sometimes it helps bring them back down to earth and they end up having a bit of fun as well. Nothing wrong with being serious and goal oriented.....just remember that life has a way of not giving a crap about all your plans and dreams. You can be gone tomorrow so lighten up a little and try to enjoy each moment that you're here. When's the last time you looked up at the stars at night or just admired an animal for their simple beauty? There's so much beauty out there that it's mind boggling why we don't spend more time appreciating it.

In a word nope i am far too chilled out and relaxed to have a friend like that i would just want to put distance between me and the seriously rude friend.

The question is subjective.
If someone is too much of anything then it's too much by my own standards.
