Its is not all the heaven in PC world. constant cleaning, software tweaks, moding to run a pc game are daily basis of the Maximum PC user.
Even with my specs i find some game buggy as hell with the lack of optimization.

The new biggest problem is the Old frame limit of 3GB changed to basic 4gb of current gen VGA cards.

Even my Z68 Chipset can withstand time with correct stuff on it.
I7 is for casuals.
Living on PCIE 3.0 forced since my MB was made to 2.0 but since the CPU and the VGA both support it you can for it for PCIE 3.0

Since the launch of the Steam Link My PC is my Console now.

Yet the problem with consoles is the lack of 144hz stuff.
The Xbox could be the perfect Steam Machine only if Microsoft buy Valve.
At the current event both Xbox One and PS4 stream to PC directly

Lord of the sales Gabe have made mistakes in the past and continue to doing so supporting and wasting material on Steam OS
But other Internet Lord have taken steps on such Lord of the media Zuckerberg

It's PC types trying to make themselves feel better for being 40 year old virgins still living in their parent's basement I reckon.

I'm semiretro, but I don't mind playing games on the PC and The Suffering was just as fun on the PC as on a console. Gotta remember to build a kickass PC for gaming and watching HD videos at full potential. PS4 and Xbox 720? no thanks, I rather be getting a PC in the long run.

Also PSA: A few posts will be out of order because a couple of people did some multiposting, and my editing to merge them, triggered that darned bug that comes when posts are deleted.

Quoting myself at least means there will be one fewer of other people's posts out of order.

Mate there are plenty of blu-ray players out there capable of 4k at 120 frames per second. Which by the way is the human limit of perception. And those players are running on nearly half the hardware a maxed out PC would.

They are blindly reading pre-recorded video not emulating the actual movement of objects, textures, light, and reflections in real time. You might as well say a robot and an android are the same thing while your at it.

120 FPS seems like a good average frame rate. 60 frames is too slow in some games

Um not trying to fight but the human eye can see soooooooo much more then 4k like stupidly so. A 4k image is about 33.2 megapixels and the human eye can see about 576 megapixels. I do understand your point going to 120 FPS but even that there are people who can see up to 240 FPS those are usually Jet Pilots.

So yeah saying 4k 120 is the human limit is waaaaaaaay off.

I dare them to actually go, install a PS3 emu, and come back to me and say how "great" it works.

Did you even bother to check the videos of games they already have working on this particular emulator?

All emulators start off slow. I doubt you actually have any experience with a working ps3 emulator.

Also, if you read some stuff in wikipedia, why don't you share the link so that we can read the same stuff? I have shared my links, without needing be asked.

As for having used one myself yet. I have not. Why? Only because I don't have a bluray drive right now and don't really want to pirate the ISO when I have the game disks already anyways. That's it.

Would love to play some Star Ocean and Armored Core right now, but alas I cannot yet, without going and fixing my PS3.

(It's broken, hard drive was suspected, but new hard drive still does same stuttery bullshit. Don't really wanna put anything better than 7200rpm into it, as an SSD seems like a waste, but am contemplating it, since SSD's are getting quite cheap.)

Anyways, thanks for ranting at me. I was only sharing facts, not trying to be a dick or anything at all.

HA! rant? Who is starting to type more than I do... You didn't think I have checked? I already addressed it in my other replies. Cherry-picked very few items that I have no interest in because it doesn't play my game, which is the whole point of.......... owning a console.

The PC master race people are ___s. Where is the "console master race?" (besides being the butt of PC users' jokes?) What kind of people gets off being "the master race" of anything at all?

The wikipedia entry on that same EMU you mentioned. What else?

Speaking of slow, the PS2 emulators such as PCSX2 still crap out at something like Zone of Enders... and that's how many years now? Audio stutters and lags, horrific frame rate, it goes on. Even with a "relatively simple" sprite-based game like Odin Sphere the stutter and horrific lag is still THERE. It'll be the same sad story for the PS3 emus.

The "master race" elitists need to be put in their places under the bridges. Especially the trolls.

Man, are you saying that we can see faster than 24 fps!? That's unreal! Unity said that we cannot get a game to be cinematic if it goes beyond that!

I still want to build a PC, but what blu-ray player do you recommend? my LG got won't turn on anymore and the electronics inside it look okay.

Deja Vu, didn't we have this thread like 6 months ago?

Also who gives a flying f*ck about the PS3, you can buy one for peanuts if there is something you want to play.
If you are buying a PC to game on for emulators you are doing it wrong. Check out Steam and GOG there is a ton of good stuff.
Publishers are realizing there is money in their back catalogs if they make a good port eg. Dragon's Dogma.

My PC, including coverage and anti-virus programs, roughly cost me one thousand dollars. Mentioning overpriced-anything is laughable. I could have gotten a Wii-U and enough games to last a lifetime with that money.

But wii u would be shit in comparison. Your pc will be outdated soon if you want the best of the best all of the time but it should last a few years or so without needing an upgrade and your games will look and preform much better.

You get what you pay for basically.

And the saving in way cheaper games dose add up plsu dont need to by control pads and etc or pay extra to play your games on line. Unless you play subcription MMO's.
