See, this is kinda funny, but I watched Clannad, and I really liked it. However, I knew that something extremely sad happens in After Story, thanks to the internet, though I don't know the specifics. I liked the characters so much that I've put off watching After Story for well over a year after watching Clannad.

I just don't want characters I like to go away! And judging from the first season, it's probably heart-wrenching stuff.

So for any reasons, have you ever not finished watching an anime series that you ENJOYED? Why?

Little Busters, I didn't love it but I watched the entire first season and lost interest.
Noragami is good with a cast I like, but I just can't get into it. Also made it past the first season.

Naruto. I actually like it, but I haven't started Shippuden because of all the horror stories of filler.

I will watch a few episodes simultaneously of a few different ones within a week - and may pause once for in awhile - but anything that I have started watching, I have gone on to watch in full.

Yes, that happened a few tomes because there were just way too many episodes. An anime has too be really interesting if it's going to have 50+ episodes. I haven't seen many of that length which kept me interested all the way through.

There are a few shows this Winter season that I dropped despite generally liking them. Galko-chan for one, and HaruChika. They're enjoyable but not worth waiting every week for.

The only anime I've never finished was Photo Kano. It was just so boring.

The only one that has ever come close to being dropped was School Days. That was just a bad show.

Yup, this.

Sometimes I get back to it, sometimes I never get back to it. Nice surprise though if you remember the series a long time later, get back to it, and maybe enjoy the episodes you already watched all over again.

So, there are plenty of anime I like that I haven't gotten around to finishing yet. After all, life is long, and it's not like my saved queue is going anywhere. This usually happens with anime where they produce a second season after I finish the first season: for instance, the second season of Log Horizon has been sitting in my queue ever since it aired.

As for shows that I have no intention of ever finishing, the only one that comes to mind is Mahoromantic--and that's largely for similar reasons to why you don't want to finish Clannad. I've read enough up on it to know that the second season has a controversial and not especially well reviewed ending, and I don't really want to subject myself to that for a show I liked but didn't love.
