Log Horizon, didn't finish the last episode of S2 and Parasyte still have 2 more episodes to go, I guess I just forgot one week to watch and then that turned to months and when I did remember I didn't want to watch anymore since I would have to catch up on the story by watching a few episodes back or maybe even the whole season...

I've watched through most of it, but I skipped the Chimera Ant part. I couldn't take it.

Oh please, please go watch it. It's a rough ride but it's so incredibly good, it's better than almost anything in anime. It's so... meaningful and the tension it builds is so.... damn... good...

I seriously think there's something wrong with you guys. All of you. And me. Life is tough huh, I will watch the rest of Clannad, though... perhaps soon.

Yes, actually. I was watching Sketchbook Full Color's, which I adored, here on CR as it was taken down. Since I don't use disreputable sources (almost more out of concern for my computer than moral considerations), I was basically left unable to finish it. Amazingly, I might possibly get the chance to finish it now thanks to Nozomient's YouTube channel (If they continue to stream it, that is).

But there were a few other shows that I was watching on the "dark side" that I never got to finish when I turned away.

I will vouch for the safety of the big fansubbers out there. I've technically gone through terrabytes and had not one piece of malware. Just mentioning it - if you stick to the mainstream it's quite reputable. If I can't watch something through a legitimate and convenient channel, I have no qualms about downloading what I need, though I would rather pay it's not always an option :p sometimes my wallet is empty too. I've got a massive amount of storage space, though, most people don't have TB's to spare I guess. I've never found a piece of malware though, not from those types of files, as long as the file sizes match up.

But things from The Pirate Bay - websites like that.. probably best not to, since people like to mess around and there's plenty of stuff that will easily get past the most popular virus scanners.

Rose of Versailles is one for me. I don't actually remember why I stopped watching at episode 11, since I distinctly remember liking it, but it's been hanging out in my 'on-hold' section on MAL at that number for several years now, so if I ever start it up again I'll probably have to start over.

See, this is kinda funny, but I watched Clannad, and I really liked it. However, I knew that something extremely sad happens in After Story, thanks to the internet, though I don't know the specifics. I liked the characters so much that I've put off watching After Story for well over a year after watching Clannad.

I just don't want characters I like to go away! And judging from the first season, it's probably heart-wrenching stuff.

So for any reasons, have you ever not finished watching an anime series that you ENJOYED? Why?

Kanon, Clannad, and Little Busters are all safe to watch without any emotional scarring if you watch them to the very end.

Kanon is probably the one that handles it the best though. If you watch Kanon though, there are 2 versions, the 2006 version is the superior one.

Air on the other hand is depressing.

Only saw almost one episode.

I plan on finishing it, though.

It was the same for me when it came to Clannad; After Story it took me a while to watch it get over what i just saw. Plastic memories had to be the toughest anime for me to finish (2 Months) since i was balling my eyes out in the first episode...

Other anime that were tough to watch:

-Your lie in April
-Brynhildr in the Darkness
-Tokyo Ravens
-Angel Beats (I can't watch the OVA)
-ToraDora
-Waiting in the Summer
