I know Crunchyroll is available in South Africa, so wouldn't it be convenient if it also offered subtitles in Afrikaans, given that it has more speakers than English (Afrikaans is also spoken widely across the former Cape Province, and approximately 61 percent of whites and 76 percent of Coloured people speak it as a 1st language).

Well, there must first be a translator available. So long as there is no convenient Afrikaan-speaker working for CR, this idea is highly unlikely to come to fruition.

well, they would have to go all the way to South Africa to find an Afrikaans-speaker who can translate Japanese (I'm gonna bet they also did the same by travelling to France and Germany to find someone who can translate Japanese into their respective languages, on top of being able to understand English), which isn't that many, given that anime's rather niche over there because there's no known anime distributor (unless you count Madman Entertainment, Hanabee, Universal Sony Home Video Australia and Siren Visual on the technicality that they distribute in R4 DVD and RB BD, both of which are regions Australia and South Africa have), and that Animax South Africa (which was the only reliable way South Africans can get anime) went under years ago thanks to a combination of network decay and the anime recession.

If they do manage to get an Afrikaans speaker who can translate Japanese into their respective language, then this would be a boon to the South African anime scene given that there's more Afrikaans-speakers than English and that it has widest geographical and racial distribution of all official SA languages.

Somehow CR offers Arabic subtitles (I wonder what are the subtitle languages CR offers aside from English, Spanish (Latino and Euro), and Portuguese (Brazil)).

I've moved this to the Suggestions/Feedback forum.

Regarding your later post, CR offers subtitles in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Arabic, and Italian.

The very small amount of speakers makes it very unlikely for it to ever happen.
