So, I'm not that into politics and am pretty much a sheep who only knows what he has been told in regards to such topics. I see a lot of people supporting Bernie as he is "better than the opposition", but there are even a bunch of Bernie supporters who say that they would only vote for him because they see him as the 'lesser evil' (paraphrased) or that they would vote for him, but they really don't like any of the candidates.

Thoughts and opinions? I'd like to see the good and bad points about Bernie, but feel free to have a discussion on the pros and cons of the other nominees as well. There was a similar topic a few days ago, but no one really elaborated on their thoughts of Bernie, so I thought I'd make that the highlight of this thread. Feel free to take this down if it becomes too similar to the other thread.

I am also a sheeple, currently (plan to do my research nearing election). From what little I've heard/seen/read it seems like Bernie is the least worse for me. No matter who wins, I'm sure a great deal of people will lose

He is socialist, I am socialist. I would also vote for Hilary...

Either way... the USA is fucked. There are no good people to vote for this election. I need to hurry and get back to Germany.

lets see. he is against war. which is a plus, I do not see why it is so bad for America to mind its own business.
he is for blacks, hello he was arrested for protesting and marching with MLK. if that is not for blacks idk what is
unlike Hillary who called you guys criminals in the 90s and had a high incarceration rate along with her husband. she has now simply BOUGHT the black vote. if she gets in office she will probably forget about you guys. sorry. its just to get votes
he is for the environment, which unfortunately we are past the point of no return, the least we can to is pro long the consequences.
every republican is against the environment and some even want to get rid of the environmental protection agency and undo the agreement between the usa and like over 100 other countries to help that got agreed on a few months ago. you cant just do that. do you have any idea how much damage that could do if we got rid of the EPA?
for those of you who don't believe it, which is bloody moronic imo, think of it this way at least. it is a business opportunity, with new technology to be made that will create new jobs
Bernie is for women , and higher minimum wage. sorry but the cost of practically EVERYTHING has gone up, from food , to rent to collage, some of you will say "well it has gone up a dollar or 2" well that is not enough to pay for what we need now. yes I understand "well what about fire men etc etc"
well, their wages should go up too. of course they shouldn't stay the same.
as for education. oh for god sake. you still have to study and pass , but if no one can get in or will go in debt without a doubt ,people cant get the education they NEED for a job besides mcdonalds . because every thing now a days requires you to have had a college education.

yet it is nearly impossible or extremely hard and you are fucked for a good portion of your life if not all of it paying off debt

even 20-30 years ago people could work1-2 jobs and pay for college

so yes, I am pro bernie

America is going to turn black though. Can't win no matter where you go.

Oh wait... it would be stupid if I were saying that seriously.

Makes sense you're talking about the presidential candidate. Shows how much I'm paying attention to politics. I thought you were talking about Bernie Mac or something.

Well, I wasn't asking what political stance that you share with him. I was more so asking what policies that he has announced that you agree with or disagree with. Why would you vote for Hillary? What points has she made that you agree with/disagree with? Etc.

Not taking what you said out of context. Just trimmed to comment on the points you have made. Thanks for commenting! On tablet so formatting is difficult. Will just answer in chronological order.

I agree with the first point just on the premise. I think that America has enough problems as it is without dealing with the problems of other countries. I understand that America is trying to be a 'big brother', but we are so focused more in others before us it seems.

Was he really? Can you source that for me please? I had not heard of that. I have heard that he has stood his ground in regards to his beliefs for a long time, so if this is the case, then I do think that he does make his case great with blacks in America. But I thought I heard that he does not have the majority support of the minorities, if so, why is this the case?

Also would like a source for this. I have heard people call her a criminal before, but have never known for what reason.

I am aware that much of politics can be bought, but how is it that you can say that she bought the black vote? Not challenging you, but once more asking for a source to this allegation.

This is also, what I cnsider to be a good point for a candidate to be on. The world is not a green place, and I feel we should be doing something better about it.

Why do you say that republicans are against the environment? Is this a generalization or is there a reason that you make this claim. Again ignorant towards politics in general, and am looking to learn more. Is there something in republican policy that puts a less active stance towards protecting the environment? Or is it more so that the people representing the republican party do not take an active stance towards being green?

Why is it that women's wages should go up? I thought the wage gap has been disproven multiple times.

As a final question. You seem pro bernie. Is there anything that you disagree with about him? Once again, thanks for responding.
