I thought I was gonna continue university, get my philosophy and english degree and become a writer of some description.

Instead I dropped out and started playing poker, and am now moving to Argentina to play poker and bum around with some friends.

You can't, your mind will be different by then, the same things that excite you now will not excite you then.

I say go with your heart. I'm only finally realising thats what matters, after wasting 2 years at uni.

You prolly didnt use ur brain back then.
If you use both of ur brain and heart youll never go wrong. I find it more practical to have cognitive judgment and then collate together with volitional reasoning.

Use your brain to rule your heart too often and you will find life has past you by without you living it.

Same as using your heart too often over ur brain. Thats not even my point. My point is always justify the rationality of your hearts desire. Cognitive judgment and Volitional reason should always work hand in hand.

"the desires of youth are often the regrets of maturity"

this is why I try to make most of my decisions looking as far down the road as possible... while trying to stop and smell the roses along the way.

I have to force myself to do the opposite.

You can study at any age, but being a teenager? Not so much.
