and a year has passed already. happy women's day!

fun fact: Ada Lovelace was the grandmother of programmable computer - she finished and improved upon the Analytical Engine by Charles Babbage. computers as we know it might not have been possible without her work. without Ada, there would be no Windows, no Mac, no smartphones, etc. since science relies heavily on computers, without Ada we would still be living in the dark ages. yes, that also means no anime.

Not so sure. There were plenty of humans who could take on the work at the time. What she did was great, but to assert that such a change wouldn't have been possible at all, rather then the possible offset of a number of years, is pretty specious idolization at best when the field is science. Literature movements and such are a lot more dependent on the unique works of individual authors.

This is apparent when we are talking recent history, rather than when 1 out of 10,000 humans meant more than 1 out of a Billion.

It exists meanwhile if you wish you can be an honorary woman for a day to join in the celebrations

I assume it's similar to the answer you got when you asked Mom "why there wasn't a Children's Day".

I sometimes wonder what fucking problem Ranwolf has. Days like today are reasons to celebrate accomplished women I suppose, as well as highlight problems within females and improve gender relations, as well as fight stereotypes. Essentially no different than International Men's Day.

Find me a list of all the countries where men are treated as second class citizens and I shall get back to you.
