No idea why the N word is a reserved word only black people can say. What should matter is the context in which these words are said and what the person saying them believes they mean, without context a word is just a collection of a certain arrangement of letters that have meanings attached to them by people, none have universal meanings.

Edit: Also I don't really like referring to people as "Black people", we're all just humans with skin, hair, eye and body variations.

Nigger is old slang for Negro, and is often used to mean something negative. Nigga is a slightly different variation that's used by some to, in a sense, reclaim the word nigger. It's often used to mean friend/acquaintance. Too an extent, we've seen something similar happen with the word queer.

Sorry wasn't having a go at you, I'm just saying in general as humans we have to move beyond "race".

The problem with this is that you cannot "reclaim a word" while still upholding its old meaning. You cannot simultaneously use the word as a substitute for "bro" and interpret the word as being a horrible insult. All that really accomplishes is confusing people and sounding hypocritical.

Oh I agree. It's a rather failed attempt at reclaiming the word. That's probably due to the fact that there's not really a focused effort to reclaim it. That's a society thing.

I occasionally use the word nigga lmao. Depending on uses it, it has different meanings. For example, some people will call black people burning buildings and rioting, "Niggas." It obviously doesn't mean a friend in that sense. Of course there's others who DO use it to mean friends and bros and what not. I use the word both ways though it's rare for me to be like, "Aye yo, that's my nigga Raymon over there!" Then there's some people who use it as a joking word.

Some people don't like getting called nigga because they think it means they're a goon, a savage, a thug, and sometimes nigger, so it offends them.
Some enjoy it/don't mind it because they think they're being called your homie, your friend or whatever.
Personally, it's irrelevant whether or not I get called or not I get called nigga. I know I'm not a nigga, but some people refer to me as being their nigga.

Also, not all black people are like "Only black people can use nigga >:( >:(" Some just don't give a fuck in all honesty.

Its funny because the term originally was used to refer to any ignorant person regardless of their race. So we now have, today, people ignorantly calling each other ignorants, ignorant of the term that they are using.
