I'm still in shock over Arnold Schwarzenegger becoming Governor of California. You Americans are cray. If Trump gets elected, you americans are super cray because everyone can tell he's a little on the evil-side.

As opposed to Hillary being more than a little on the evil side... As least Trump winning is mostly explainable as an expression of dismay towards current political stagnation (as eerily covered in Robin William's "Man of the Year"). Hillary's vagina and connections seem to be the only reasons she isn't in jail.

Yeah, you might want to read up on that one, as those of us who were on the continent at the time were already getting the flashbacks from that California election during the start of this one:

For those dang-furr'ners who weren't there--California's economy was in ruins after a big rush for "Deregulated energy" had gotten them scammed and swindled by the Enron Corporation, which had also put them through years of a crippling power crisis, while investment bubbles were already pushing up fuel prices for it. Since the Enron execs had already had their trial and gone to jail, there was no one left for California voters to be mad at and "kick out" for it except the incumbent governor for selling voters on a neat idea and buying into it in the first place.
With an emergency vote, and not as much campaigning time, Schwarzenegger's search for influence within the Republican party (simply marrying Maria Shriver wasn't enough to get into the inner circles) was the least of the campaign's problems. Twenty-four candidates put themselves up for election, including one ex-pornstar, and recently unemployed national-cheap-punchline ex-child-star Gary Coleman, who put up a few issues about employment and small-business, but didn't seem to be campaigning for any other purpose than the goofy cult joke, as anybody else could call himself a gubernatorial candidate by that point and no one would take it seriously anyway.
Schwarzenegger not only had the wishful-thinking vote of the southern California entertainment industry, from all the other actors who wished they could run for office too, but played into the fans who thought Arnold would be just like he was in the movies. He was rarely called by his name in the press, as articles would refer to him as "The Governator", as if a fictional character had just stepped off the screen.
In retrospect, looking at the debates, the only candidate who was giving calm and reasonable solutions for the state was the politically-experienced incumbent Lt. Governor, but boo, hiss, he was clearly the villain's henchman!

So it's not a matter of being "Cray" (unless you mean the British gangsters). It's about
A) believing that celebrities really are like what you see on TV, and
B) thinking people will be impressed if you get Angry and blame Bad People for it, and why that looks ridiculous when grownups do it.

As to the header's question, with the Protest-violence reaching such a boiling point that is already starting to disgust some of Trump's former political endorsements, and with four months before the convention left to go, I feel Willy Wonka, as always, said it best:

Thanks, I'm now over my Schwarzenegger shock. I can move on.
