As long as the UK can still get decent anime, I don't care

Most people still think of it as kiddie stuff like Pokemon or porn. Maybe loliporn, thanks to CNN, but not enough to write opinion pieces about it or scream on tv about how Japan should be prosceuted and anime should be banned.

Most people, trust me, could care less.

No. Anime and manga are made in Japan not the USA...

Western games, maybe, but they already tried bans there years ago and they did not get enough steam. Though there has been some self imposed politically correct restrictions in games in recent years. Which is more to do with social pressure on game creators and not actual legal ramifications.

As to if the next president may try to ban consumption of said media, I highly doubt it. Even if a bill was introduced and signed into law it would be overturned by a court ruling ruling since it is against the first amendment to stymie such things. They could change how things get sold and where, but not stop the free expression of them.

I'd be much more concerned about net neutrality being thrown out and the effect that may have on anime consumption tbh.
