Hello, it's about that time again where I really get into anime and want to watch a few. This time it was Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinji that got me watching again, last time it was Mushishi Zoku Shou (the time before that was Utakoi). As you can see, I have a certain type that gets me into anime again.

Anyway, I would love some recommendations for anime to watch. I just got caught up with Haikyuu and there are a few anime adapted from manga that I'm not quite willing to watch right now which includes Kid's on the Slope, Chihayafuru, and I think the rest of the sports anime. I also don't want to start Durarara!! x 2 since it was too long ago that I saw the first season and kinda want to wait on watching it again.

So yes, I'm open to most genres except the whole virtual reality game thing and yes I've watched House of Five Leaves and kinda don't really want to see any of the other historical anime on CR, at least not the ones tagged with historical here.

Here's a somewhat comprehensive list of what I've seen: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/MyAnime/?user=mikako17&categ=3&sort=-rating

Some ideas from looking at your list:

-- Snow White with the Red Hair (currently airing season 2) has a lot in common with The World is Still Beautiful, except that it's just better in almost every respect. (And I say that as someone who liked The World is Still Beautiful a lot.)

-- It's a little older, but I think you would enjoy Spice and Wolf, for it's smart dialogue.

-- Steins; Gate is one of the most clever sci-fi shows you'll see. (It's a slower-paced time-travel show.) Also in the sci-fi category, Gargantia of the Verderous Planet is quite good (it's a very smart mecha show--not as good as Eureka Seven, but not too far off).

-- Here on CR, try Maoyu or Otome Youkai Zakuro : both have Interesting fantasy settings, beautiful art, and reasonably smart premises, good execution.

-- For something a little more on the sillier/surreal side, try: Amagami Brilliant Park (straight comedy) or Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions (Romantic Comedy)

I should probably include my manga list too since I tend not to watch anime that I'm currently reading, the only exception so far is Haikyuu. It's located here: https://www.mangaupdates.com/mylist.html And I probably should also include my seen some list from ANN: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/MyAnime/?categ=2

@ fairy_tail175

May or may not watch Natsume since I'm already reading it, but it has been a while since I've read the first chapters

@ A_RandomGuy

You must have missed the part in my op that says the reason I want to watch anime again is because of Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu

@ mnmike

I probably won't be watching Akagami no Shirayukihime since I basically got bored with the manga. I love Spice and Wolf and am currently reading it. I've actually seen most of of Gargantia and all of Zakuro.

I actually can't believe I forgot about Steins: Gate, I'll just have to find that somewhere. As for Maoyu and the comedies, I'll take a look.

@ sena3927

I've actually seen a few episodes of Kyousougiga, Gatchaman Crowds, and Gingitsune, I just kinda got stuck on them. I have seen all of Gurren Lagann (really enjoyed it) and Kuragehime (loved it). As for Hunter x Hunter, I've watched up to the Ant Island Arc and have read up to the latest chapter.

I've heard that Aldnoah.Zero is similar in plot to Gundam Seed or something of the like and don't really want to get into that. I'll probably look into Young Black Jack though, that looks interesting. I never got into No. 6, Aku no Hana, or Welcom to the N. H. K. though.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions.
