You're assuming people like this woman have common sense or anything resembling intelligence.

Seriously I'm not going to start up a gun laws debate but stuff like this really starts to make stricter gun laws look like a really good idea don't they?

yes they do. but seriously i cant even get the thought through my head that someone would leave a loaded gun laying around in a car a child is known to be inside. makes no sense to me at all.

"Gun lovin' Florida mom says 4-year-old son shot her in the back" Yeah, I couldn't help but chuckle a bit there.

Oh, she loved 'em, all right--Even had her own 2nd Amendment-Nut webpage:
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/florida-mom-shooting-police-son-gun-truck/

(And STILL no stories of any gun owner actually stopping a robbery or home invasion in progress....Don't worry, they'll probably do it someday.)

This is why we need gun storage safety laws in the U.S.

I'm not saying we should take away guns, but they need to be treated properly and transported properly not just laying around in the backseat of your truck.

That was my very first thought. My second though was, "Why are you keeping a loaded gun SO FAR OUT OF YOUR REACH, THAT YOU CAN'T GET TO IT IN AN EMERGENCY?!?!?!?!?!"

Then I got silly and though, "Most parents give their smart phones to their kids to occupy them on long car trips........"

I'm not saying 4-year olds are weak, but I mean, a handgun can be heavy. I remember holding one for the first time when i was 12, and yeah there are lighter ones, but the regular ones weigh... i mean they're at least heavier than your keyboard. I'm not sure a 4 year old could hold one tbh, much less pull the trigger.

no man... i think... we just need to remove FL from the union. It's time. We tried to reform them, but... yeah... probably will be less of a hassle if we just let cuba take it or something like that.
