I watched a lot of cartoons till I was drafted at 18 in 1970.
I ended up in Seoul, Korea for 18+ months. On my next 3 day pass went to
Tokyo and was introduced to anime on Sat morning.
The graphics and animation got me. I had never seen anything
like it before.

I knew about anime from watching Dragon Ball Z and Inuyasha, but when I saw the Zabuza arc in the original Naruto I fell in love with the anime industry. Later Fullmetal Alchemist made me a fan for life and FMA Brotherhood is still to this day my favorite anime of all time.

I guess I was always exposed to it even at birth, and as a child I always preferred it over anything realistic.

As a child I didn't mind watching the random episodes that aired on Toonami, but as I grew older I felt too much was missing and you couldn't view the episodes in order on television so I started to watch them on websites in dubbed. At the time certain anime didn't have full dubbed and waiting wasn't an option which led me to start watching all anime in its normal language. The differences were astounding especially the voice actors whom you could tell had real talent compared to most voice actors that dubbed in the country of your language.

My older brother.

When I was little he was already a teenager so I looked up to him. He used to watch a good bit of anime so thats how I found out about it.

I don't have a comment here, I just want to know what that avatar is from.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom for the Wii. I was pretty hyped for it, but I didn't know much about Tatsunoko, so I watched Casshern Sins and Karas, and the rest is history.

when i was really young, I saw some dragon ball z and inuyasha. I also remember seeing an episode from the albastra arc in one piece and the chunin exam in naruto. I spent a lot of time watching the Justice league shows on netflix like two years ago, and I heard that Attack on Titan was really great, so I started watching it, and got hooked. I then watched FMA, Samurai champloo, blue exorcist, and here I am today
