I also only have $120 in my checkings account (and the $52,000 I have in savings is for tuition/books only). I would rather not spend 50% of my spending money on anime when I can spend it on geological equipment.

Also, not sure about you, but I would rather be with friends then a shut-in in my room watching anime =p Anime is a backup for when I don't have school work or friends. I don't make it a life habit.

I don't see that as a problem. That's life. Their is always priorities to be made. Crunchy roll, a business does not have to accommodate personal lifestyles that have no benefit to them. No one is owed free entertainment. If you miss a series, so what. Move on to what's current whenever you're available to watch something.

I was able to watch an entire series without even logging in, and now, I can watch entire series from 2011, for example.

The issue arising is that I am not getting the same service as other people living in the continental USA.

I just checked as someone also in Texas and not logged in and the vids were still available to free users. If you're traveling between regions try clearing your browser's history and cache. It may be stuck on another region's availability list.

double-check your country / region setting. if your computer is set at a different counry/region, it could be causing trouble:

Recently today I noticed that all free users only have 1-2 months to watch an episode before it gets locked to premium membership.

As I am a university student I don't have the time to watch everything I would like to watch (nor the money). My question is, is CR becoming "hostile" to free users? This doesn't help them make money, if anything it would push to watch via other sources.

Do you think CR is becoming "hostile" to free users? That or did I miss some huge update about the site?

I love how people try to point out that being a University student means they don't have time or money. When I was attending my University for Computer Engineering and Computer Science I constantly got very little sleep, but I did always manage to squeeze in time to watch anime and get good grades. I also worked 40-50 hours a week and paid for my entire tuition plus paid for a membership at Crunchyroll, Funimation, FFXIV, World of Warcraft, and Netflix. Please stop using "I go to a University therefore I am poor." it really doesn't work.

I got around $300 a week when I worked while in college (most went to tuition), are you not working? It really ticks me off when people have their entire college paid for by parents and get funding by parents and then complain they can't afford a cheap membership and try to rationalize it. Are you trying to gain sympathy from us? I have none to give in your case.
