Do you have a second web browser on your computer you don't usually use for Crunchyroll? If so try to watch the videos without logging in with another browser. It really sounds like some random setting in either your pc or profile is indicating you as a member from Canada.

maybe use a service like iplocation or something and check your ip location
if it shows a different country...maybe you'll have to talk to your internet service provider
if it shows USA...then i really don't know.

I got around $300 a week when I worked while in college (most went to tuition), are you not working? It really ticks me off when people have their entire college paid for by parents and get funding by parents and then complain they can't afford a cheap membership and try to rationalize it. Are you trying to gain sympathy from us? I have none to give in your case.

Salty much? Yes I work, it goes into savings so I can pay my own way through my Masters Degree. It will cost me a bit over $75,000. I need to earn $25,000 in 2 years (including first year for Masters).

As of the comment chain with you, I have no reason to talk to you any further. You are derailing the conversation and acting like an ass. So yea. Have a good day.

My current IP address is traced to south Texas where I am spending spring break. I live in North Texas currently. I think I just got shafted lol.

I tried Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer. I don't use the first 2 at all. They keep acting up.

I also tested it on a tablet, a phone and Xbox. All of them had this issue.

My IP is traced to South Texas atm, my locale/region settings are USA. The only thing different is I use the German keyboard and have my LoL client in German.

Edit: My place says detected location is Canada. That explains the issue.

Recently today I noticed that all free users only have 1-2 months to watch an episode before it gets locked to premium membership.

As I am a university student I don't have the time to watch everything I would like to watch (nor the money). My question is, is CR becoming "hostile" to free users? This doesn't help them make money, if anything it would push to watch via other sources.

Do you think CR is becoming "hostile" to free users? That or did I miss some huge update about the site?

Edit: I am currently in USA.

Edit: It says detected location is Canada.

I'm closing this to reduce the possibility for misunderstanding, confusion, and unwarranted anger/anxiety. Even though you've now figured out this was wasn't for all CR free-users (just those in Canada, and you've got some glitch going on where CR is mistakenly detecting you as in Canada) and have added that detail, I don't think most folks jumping into the thread will realize the relevance of that detail.

I also see that you've posted in Site Support already, so hopefully it will get sorted out.
