I loved Hyrule Warriors for Wii U. I played it for so many hours and I'd still love to play more of it. One concern I have is that Hyrule Warriors Legends seems like it's the exact same game as Hyrule Warriors for WiiU except it's portable and has just a few more features. What I want most out of this game is the new characters (especially Skull Kid) but if I have to buy an almost identical version of the game just to get those characters then that seems like a rip off. I hope that's not the case.
I also really look forward to being the King of Red Lions.

That's exactly the case. Hyrule Warriors Legends is the complete Nintendo Wii U game, including all previously released downloadable content, now in a portable form and with extra content. New downloadable content will also be released exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS version, while the Wii U version will have access to only the new characters that will be coming in the future, including Medli from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, who will be offered as a free download for both games when the first add-on pack for Hyrule Warriors Legends is released later this year.

I pre-ordered this game because I have a 3DS, but no Wii U, and I have long wanted to play.

Looks like I made the right decision by waiting.

I find it hard to like this game at first glance.

I own and really like Hyrule Warriors, its cool, and when I saw this game being teased or something, ESPECIALLY the nintendo direct, I found it hard to care, thinking to myself" Why a 3DS? that's like less power, so there will be less units on the screen?"
Also that Nintendo direct was embarrassing, those two (The Asian girl and that guy) were being such tools "Ooohh look, the touch screen is so responsive!, isn't it?" *Fart Noise*
And this Linkle (or Linkal, forgive my spelling) is not that impressive, I might've gone crazy if she just showed up while playing the game and i Didn't even know, but still, she doesn't look impressive.
And they kept showing off f*cking Tetra, with her stupid f*cking rooster head hair, who even cares!?

But now that I think about it, maybe there really cool sh*t around the corner, like Wind Waker levels and playing as the cute Toon link!
That'll be cool! Oh sh*t! Phantom Hourglass?
And if I remember, Samurai Warriors Chronicles Was really well made on 3DS, so maybe there'll be some adjustments to the gameplay?

Also its possible that the Wii U isnt that popular, but the 3DS is popular which might be the reason behind why Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was on 3DS, because of marketing purposes.

(Before anyone says "Capcom was attracted by the function of the 3DS" I ask, What functions? Oh, I know, the attractive function of not having all the controls available to play a MH game that a console would have? THOSE FUNCTIONS!?
People, this is Capcom we're talking about, you know, the same guys that made the current Street Fighter V?)

But I actually like the idea of a Wind Waker Dynasty warriors game.

SWC was one of the reasons I got a 3DS in the first place, and the game still holds up, so I have faith that this will be a good adaptation.
