Well. I have been meaning to get AP for a long time now.

I've been prime now for 5 years? Longer? Slightly less long? Anyways a reason to use the video portion.

I just plan on buying a lot more on amazon. I hate to not buy local, but you can't beat the deals on Amazon. Like a lot of their gunpla prices are so damned good.

It is where I get my manga from. I've never had a problem with them. USPS/UPS yes, but not amazon. In fact amazon replaced the entire set of Monster Musume manga that got miss delivered and delivered late at no cost to me. So at one time I had 2 sets of Monster Musume manga . I wish I could remember what I did with the extra set. BTW Trivia: Musume means daughter(s) in Nihongo. So the show should properly be called: Monster Daughters. Interesting no?

. . . musume can also just mean "girls". It's like that in a lot of languages, I think. (I've heard it in some romance languages, I'm sure...)

Ajin is will also be streaming on Netflix in April, I never knew they had rights to it. At least it streams right after the season ends unlike the long wait it was for Seven Deadly Sins, that better not be the same case with season 2.

It was announced way back in September of last year:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/press-release/2015-09-18/netflix-to-premiere-ajin-a-demi-human-to-global-audience-in-first-of-its-kind-deal/.93110

Seven Deadly Sins was an odd one, as it didn't fit the "as soon as the season ends" pattern for both parts of Knights of Sidonia. It also didn't have an official early announcement. It makes me wonder if they actually had the rights before it was broadcast in Japan, or that contract was only finalized much later.

It probably was the late contract then. Any word if Ajin will be dubbed, or its probably way to early since it débuts in April?

Netflix hasn't debuted any "Netflix Original" anime that wasn't dubbed.

Both parts of Knights of Sidonia debuted dubbed soon after they finished airing in Japan, so there is little reason to believe Ajin will be an exception. It should also be noted that Netflix was rolling out the episodes weekly inside Japan, so they've had access to them as they became available.

I for one am glad Netflix has been putting a decent, modest, but decent effort into anime. I mean I don't want to take away from CR, but I have been using Netflix pretty much since it's inception. Since it was solely disc based and have always been pleased with their moves. for the most part.

Well seems like Amazon is extending it's tentacles further : https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2016-03-17/amazon-signs-deal-with-fuji-tv-to-exclusively-stream-noitamina-series/.99901

I wonder how much they paid for that.

I wonder how much they paid for that.

It is probably similar to the deal Funimation had at one time, and doesn't involve paying a premium, as they are committing to licensing all of these series for a specific period of time.

That said, Funimation normally also released the series on home video. Given that, it may be that Amazon had to also pay for those rights. If so, whether they will make use of them by sub-licensing them or doing it themselves remains to be seen.

Despite the way the article was worded, also like the Funimation deal, this should only affect those series Fuji holds the international rights to (which isn't every series that airs on the block every season). In other words, if it is an Aniplex series airing in the noitaminA block, we should still see that here on CR.

Well that is something i guess.

But can't say i like the look of this as someone out of area that Amazon covers. Guess we should expect more of this down the road as more wants all of the cake for them selves and don't want to share.

I'm probably the minority but so far I already have all these streaming services due to cutting over priced cable. I only pay monthly for Hulu and Netflix since there's no choice and everything else is on a yearly subscription. It's quite annoying though when you might watch only 1 show airing on one of your subscriptions, example One Punch Man only on Hulu and now God Eater is probably going to retain it's lead on episodes on that service vs CR. I about pay 16$ a month for Netflix and Hulu so it's not really expensive for the time being. Hopefully that helps people dilemma with paying for multiple services. But now amazon is making deals with Japan and their streaming service kinda sucks in the HD department.

One Punch Man is also available on Daisuki (something those outside the US are quite thankful for):

Indeed. Considering that besides Daisuki. the only option outside of the US here is Crunchyroll. So kinda hoping Daisuki grabs this.

I took a glance at Amazon Japan Prime and apparently, it's not available for most users.
