Please let us force the quality on the Roku application. Most of the coolest Roku channels allow us to do that.

Not everybody prefers to watch the episodes without interruptions at the cost of lowering the bandwidth. There are purists like me that can handle one or two little buffering through the episode without quality change.

It's *SO* easy to implement! CrunchyRoll servers already sends 4 different URLs for 4 different qualities (SD, 480p, 720p, 1080p) and the application chooses depending on the bandwidth detected, and sometimes this detection is unreliable.

This will also help people that has to pay per bandwidth consumption (LTE and things like that) and want to force SD so they don't have to pay that much.

Sounds like a cool feature. Unfortunetly, they don't even have a working Roku app at the moment!

Mine works. I have a Roku 1 3rd gen (2710) and everything works smoothly, but I would like an option to force SD, 720p or 1080p.

If I recall, the Roku 1 has no problems, but other Roku's and some UK variants can't load the app still.

Edit: I have a Roku 1 (2710XB) too :/

I second this idea: the ability to watch in SD to not go over my monthly ISP bandwidth cap!

I would also like to select stream resolution. I have low bandwidth connection and the buffering and interruptions when watching dramas makes them unviewable. Letting users choose the stream (I need SD) would be ideal.

At the moment, the Roku streaming stick version of the Crunchyroll app doesn't allow changing streams. So when I watch dramas, they pause every three seconds to buffer. It is unwatchable. As an experiment, I connected my laptop to the TV via HDMI and watched the same drama via the web site set to SD quality. The stream came through perfectly without any pauses. So the problem is not my ISP's service, but the way in which Roku and the CR app handle streams.

Please fix this problem by adding the ability to choose stream quality from within the CR app the way we can on the web site.
