Think about the cost of your tuition and the likeliness you'll earn bad grades or even fail if you don't study and do homework.

If you're going for higher education after college, forget about it if you're earning straight Cs.

why is that??

They'll assume you're a slacker and they'll probably be right. Especially if you earn Cs in classes that have to do with your major and you're trying to get into a good school to go further with that same subject.

I don't. I'm avoiding it right now, in fact.

I will say I'm not as bad about it as I used to be, since I'm paying for my classes, though. No sense in doing that without learning anything.

I usually just do it in class because I can't focus when doing it at home. Or you could set a timer on your phone for 30-45 minutes and assume that that's the amount of time you have to finish the homework (pretending it's a test) - that might help.

Honestly, I have a hard time focusing in the semester. For me to do homework, I leave it all for specific days and just do it all between 10-3 am on those days. So, this semester I only did homework/studying on monday/thursday... before my two major classes. The other thing that motivates me on these days is just thinking about how crappy i'll feel for not doing the work. So if I don't do it, am I going to actually be okay with such a low mark? (I'm getting like a b-/c+ pre curve, A-/B+ post curve) and usually I just think about why i'm doing it and that's enough to get me to do my work usually.

I don't really motivate myself, I just hope there's some reasonable excuse for my not doing it...there almost never is

I put on music, sit down and do homework. That's how I've always done my homework since high school.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHA oh I hate my life.

Well generally I think of how much money my parents are wasting on me and that gets me somewhat motivated.

Hmm, I wonder if my 3rd grade teacher would still accept those overdue math assignments.

I was raised with the thought that anything lower than a 90 is a bad grade. Over time this style of parenting has given me anxiety. But!! It works for me when I do my homework and study because I know my grades are a direct reflection of my happiness.
