uMmmmmmmmm iT stiLl nOt woRking,..iT stIll wantS the CD ,..

for those of you on windows xp and without a cd i think i found a way to help you add the japanese to the list cuz i myself did not have it on the list, i dont know if i got the cd or not but if you go

control panel>>Regional and language options>>Languages

on this page you should see two sections one called (Text services and input languages) the other called (Supplemental language support). Under the second one it says "most languages are installed by default. To install additional languages, selecf the appropriate check box below." There should be two check boxes to select, the second one is the one you want to check called "install files for East Asian languages"

then a pop-up will come up saying how after you hit ok it will install, so just hit ok, it will install and ask for a restart of your computer, after restarting i found more languages installed :]

hope this helps

-also if anyone can explain exactly how they can write in hiragana cuz right now i can only do katakana-
uMm caN u explain more how did you do it without the cd??ONEGAI SHIMASU sneakyx

I have no idea on how to do this on a MAC, so I suggest that you go to the computer's manuals respectively.

WindowXP and below: (You need the service pack 2 CD that most likely came with your computer.)

Go to start
Settings
Control Panel
Regional and Language Options
Language Tab
Details
Click Add
Scroll Down to Japanese in Input Languages
Press Ok
Click on Language Bar
Make sure "Show the language bar on the desktop" is checked.
Press OK
Go to the "advanced" tab
Check "Extend support of advanced text services to all programs"
Press OK

IN VISTA:

>>go to start
>>open control panel
>>go to clock, language and region
>>go to regional and Language options
(press changekeyboards or other input methods
>>press change keyboard
>>press "add" and... voila'!
~thank you for submitting this in toiletcat27

I have issues with my Japanese IME...I know how to type and all...it's worked for three years. But all of a sudden, my Hiragana and katakana input systems are skipping all the consonants.
Here's an example:
To type "I", I usually type: watashi
This is how it looks when I do it: あ あ い。
As you can see, it's " a a i".....I kinda wanna know how to fix it. o_o
This has been a problem for quite a long time. x) I'm not typing "a a i" though...I'm typing "watashi", but that's what shows up...>.<
I re-installed the IME so many times already...
