I always thought is was the bones that inspired them in the same way narwhal horns were sold as unicorn horns.

Listen all I'm saying is that I'm finding it hard to find the "irony" in your post. I'm not trying to have a go at you and belittle you I just don't see where the irony is at. I'll drop this just for you, how's that?

The irony is Christian fundamentalists ( who routinely reject other religions and beliefs ) trying to use carvings from a Buddhist temple as evidence of their beliefs. Thats all I was saying.

Dinosaurs are more related to the class of aves than reptilia, they were warm blooded.

Glad someone beat me to it, it makes me twitch whenever someone is dismissive "It's just a theory". The mentioning of monkeys was just a bonus.

What exactly is the mainstream scientific explanation for art that looks just like dinosaurs if they supposedly never coexisted with humans?

What are the odds a few ancient civilizations stumbled across well preserved fossils from time-to-time?

Be careful of taking images literally especially ones depicting monsters of any description. For example there are images of wild animals attacking castles in mediaeval England however; no historian believes that wolves and foxes attacked castles defended by monkeys.

There is a fictional book about an elephant that becomes the king of a country, and yet elephants exist.

RunecThe irony is Christian fundamentalists ( who routinely reject other religions and beliefs ) trying to use carvings from a Buddhist temple as evidence of their beliefs. Thats all I was saying.

The real irony is evolutionary fundamentalists (who routinely reject other biological theories) assuming Christians are using carvings from Buddhist temples as evidence when they are merely asking the question,"Could these people have seen living dinosaurs? Dinosaurs who coexisted with monkeys?" The carving looks like a stegosaurus and not a rhino to me.

Irony can also be seen in that you reject Christian beliefs ...but deride them for rejecting other religious beliefs. It is also absurd in that if Christians didn't reject other religious beliefs, they wouldn't be Christians now would they?

runecAh, you're one of those types that don't know the difference between theory in a dictionary sense and theory in a scientific sense. Got it.

Here we go with the assumptions... again; it is because I know it that I reject the theory of evolution. There are so many cracks and holes in the evolutionary theory... only faith sustains it.

evilotakunekoThe denialism is strong with that one. He's very much like a brick wall.

How could I accept a falsifiable theory I know to be false? The denialism is on the evolutionary side.

theres no way those primitive ppl could have known dinosaurs existed; they don't even understand scientifically that cells can't produce fire.

Sometimes, a post deserves a well-written and meaningful response.

Sometimes, the only deserved response is outright dismissal, or none at all.

And finally, sometimes, the only appropriate response is mockery/laughter.

Take a guess.

Now THAT is how a true evolutionist defends their theory!

Tangoed with that one before I take it?

I tried before, a couple of times I think, but his Biblical Glasses must be molecularly bonded or something.
