Has anyone else watched Himouto Umaru Chan? I enjoyed it very much. The main character is very bratty at first but is sweet at heart. Her brother as well. Not that the characters are Christian but they do display Christian behavior and values. I especially liked that one character who has very large breasts (tho she does not know/flaunt the fact) remarks that Umaru's brother is the first person to look her in the eyes. The show is very funny and light but touching at times as well. I highly recommend it.

Here is a funny gif to whet your appetite. Enjoy!

I have watched the show and enjoy reading the manga. I would disagree a bit on whether they display Christian behavior and values, but that's just me. Especially the episode regarding Christmas where Umaru completely misses the real point and meaning of Christmas. Regarding Tahei always giving, working without complaining, treating people respectfully - he does display many CHristian values. Umaru? She's a brat, but she does actually care - as you see throughout the series. I enjoyed it, but there were probably more displays of non-Christian values than of the reverse.

In terms of anime I would recommend...

Trigun - Great series if you don't mind dealing with a western theme. Christian values are on display throughout including specific discussion of redemption with Vash serving, in many ways, as a Christ-like figure. Worth watching.

There are others, but that's a good starting point

Here's my list of anime I've watched over at Anime Planet, check it out and feel free to ask my thoughts on...anything I've watched
