I am Proud....TO BE A SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIOR!!!
Posted 3/17/16 , edited 3/20/16

I HAVE THE POWER!

No but seriously, why do I feel so ostracized? I've been called a SJW several times. I've learned to embrace this title as a title of good! Of JUSTICE! Though it still disturbs me how many froth at the mouth ranting about a bunch of tumblrinas who are not as organized a political power as it would justify the amounts of rants on CR. Though I do admit, political correctness is sort of going overboard (And believe me, I'm probably the most politically incorrect forumer here.) though the radical right worries me as well.

So in essence.....I've learn to enjoy this.

Unless you have the qualifications to prove it it doesn't matter.

Theres a little bit too much radicalness going on now a days, you can be a perfectly fine human being or you can take it super over board and get upset for other people. I dunno.

Social justice for everyone!

A new app can help you check your privilege when it comes time to split the cheque.
EquiTable takes a restaurant bill, divides it by the number of diners and adjusts how much each person owes based on the statistical wage gap between genders and races. So, a white man out for dinner with a black woman would fork over more cash to cover the bill.
“It doesn’t split the bill equally, it splits it equitably,” said the app’s creator Luna Malbroux, who noted the wage gap calculation in the app is based on data from the U.S. Bureau of Labour Statistics.

the picture on top was them protesting and event that was for keeping the traditional kimono industry from closing, where there were Japanese women being told it was cultural appropriation.

The reason that some people are called SJW's is because their somewhat authoritarian in nature. They try to force their views onto other people through censorship (Video Games) in some cases and they believe their so self-righteous. + They get oversensitive over extremely small things. And they act too PC.

That being said though, just because you stand for Social justice or feminism doesn't mean you're an SJW. Both those causes are legitimate, it's just that a small minority of feminists and others tend to go overboard. Some conservatives are just as bad (some are legitimately anti-feminist) as well and probably overuse the word SJW. Nonetheless, they still exist just like many other extremes in other groups of people.

I consider myself a moderate liberal. Progressive on most issues but at the same time, try not to go overboard (For example, not afraid of criticizing certain muslims but not overgeneralizing either).

Eh, its just a go to term to dismiss criticism. It was mostly unheard of till gamergate rolled around and weaponized it as a way of dismissing criticism. Now it gets bandied around like its a coherent counter-argument in a discussion. Any example that can be found of the alleged behaviour, regardless of how minor, is held aloft like a war trophy. Like its definitive proof there's an organized, global movement out to ruin everyone's "fun" and stop them from "telling it like it is", etc.

Exhibit A: The stupid meme images above.

I don't think you're an SJW.

Are you oppressed? Are you appropriating Asian culture? Are you triggered by boobs? Something something Anita Sarkeesian?
