Eat Less, Move More.

That's the key, some common tips:

- To start, try to drink only water.
- Eat more protein, eat less carbs, load up on greens.
- Avoid sweets
- Try to workout at least 3 times a week for 30-45 min. (Also, don't think that CARDIO IS THE ONLY ANSWER! Maybe start off with a 10-15 min. jog, cycle, walk then move onto the weight training.)

The best way is to reduce the amount of calories you consume. It doesnt matter what diet you go on the only thing that does matter is the amount of calories you consume per day. Usually people say eating healthy helps you lose weight, but its generally because healthy food have a low calories count. Exercise helps to speed up the process.

To burn weight (ie. fat), you need to be in a caloric deficit, plain and simple. To be in caloric deficit, you need to consume less calories than maintenance level. Caloric maintenance means you burn as many calories as you eat, and burning of calories includes the calories you burn by merely being alive, doing your daily activities, and doing exercise.

In summary, increase your activity level every day and consume less calories than your body needs to keep maintenance. The types of calories you consume are also important, you need a good balance of protein, carbohydrates and fat, and certain foods are good to "fill you up" like fiber.

They're a lot of people on the right track for this question. However in my opinion no one has given a good solid answer.
No one will be able to give you the right answer, because no one knows your lifestyle, eating habits, your size and your goals apart from wanting to lose wait. This is because everyone's journey will be different.

Visit your doctor and make a diet and a gym routine according to you :)

And there are some medicines that can give a hand on accomplishing your goal, but it needs to be recommended by your doctor.

I used mazindol and lost 18 kilos in 6 months :D, but it is not recommended for all people
