So basically I thought it would be cool if Chruncyroll did something like what Netflix did and have exclusive shows produced by Chrunchyroll. These shows could be ones, to start off with, that are well liked but have been discontinued for whatever reason. Personally if Chrunchyroll decided to do something like this I would be fully on board with the idea.
What about you? What do you think of this idea? Do you support it? What would you change or add if you think it's a cool idea? Let me know.

I think it's a great idea... surprised they haven't done something like it already.

I don't like non-Japanese companies getting involved in anime production unless it's strictly limited to funding and distribution and doesn't give the companies any creative input.

No. RWBY is own by Rooster Teeth. Which Crunchyroll loves so much.

Some of the short episode series have the Crunchyroll logo in the credits. For those series I think it is a safe bet that they have most (or all) of the streaming rights outside of Japan.

Yeah, but you forgot other anime sites are much better, and would eventually get the shows somehow. (legal or illegally)

Crunchyroll had a role in Kiznaiver
Look how that turned out.

Sales:
Kiznaiver v1 wk1 --> 659 BDs + 657 DVDs = 1,316
Kiznaiver v2 wk1 --> 450 BDs + 197 DVDs = 647

Yes, those are pretty poor sales figures.

Yes, but they didn't write it. All they can do is promote it, which they did. People either just didn't like the show, or considered it a little too overhyped.
