If you are 98kg and 178 cm then you have a body mass index of 30.9.

That is .9 above the minimum by which you could be considered obese.

And don't lose weight because people replied to your forum post, do it because you want to (if you want to that is)

1) Your ideal weight isn't just a function of height. It also depends on your sex, age, diet, muscle mass, exercise level, medical history, family medical history, and self-image. A 30 year old male with a healthy diet, no family history or risk factors for heart disease, and who regularly lifts weights, can safely carry a lot more weight than a 55 year old female smoker with high blood pressure, a bad diet, and a mother who died of a heart-attack at 57.

2) If you are unhappy with your current weight, focus on incremental progress that you can live with in the long run. Don't overhaul your diet--make small changes to your current diet. Find one little way to make each meal 5% more healthy--and make it something that you can live with and are willing to do every day. And then, after a month of doing that, do another round of cuts. Keep going until you've hit your targets.

3) Find an exercise program that you will stick with. Get a walking buddy. Get a personal trainer that will call you and get your butt out of bed if you don't show up. Join a team with a friend who will pick you up and make you go. Whatever works for you.

Most importantly, don't worry so much about numbers. The scale is a harsh mistress. Instead, worry about getting healthy. Trust me; you'll look better and feel better. And the scale will take care of itself.

Good luck!

Well you know, lose weight to get girl. My ideal girl must be pretty and it is so hard to get one. It's like if the girl is not pretty enough I can't get the chemistry going. I can get some dating advice too

I don't know if you realize it, but that sounds incredibly shallow.

I agree but I need the girl to be decent looking. If I force myself to be with some girl it won't last long. It seems easier to look for a girl in the state then in Taiwan. Well which girl do you consider to be ideal, if you post an image of her I will tell you what I think about her, and you can say if I am shallow or not. This would be quite personal though. For me the decent looking girl is on https://www.facebook.com/joycewu1120/?fref=ts. Been going after her for a while, but in the end she gave me up for someone else it seems. Would this be consider too shallow?

Idk, usually when people consider dating them someone, they ideally date someone who's just as good-looking as them (Well in the same league of them). If losing weight helps you to get in the same league then I would do it.

I have never personally seen an unattractive person with a very attractive person (Unless of status) but it's very uncommon.

I don't think it's shallow for liking someone, you're physically attracted too. Physical attraction does help a relationship.

This is what I look like https://www.facebook.com/alden.chang.3 . I dunno if losing a few pounds will do = =. She chose someone else over me already so best I'd get is remain a friend

P.S. Come on, I'm not ugly am I?

Mmm, I think she's way out of league buddy. But if she already choosen someone over you, what's the point of losing weight. Lose weight to feel good about yourself not for some chick.

Though, I think you need better glasses, hair cut, wardrobe and lose some weight to make yourself more presentable. You'd come a long way from your previous self if you do.

Well, people like me are friend material. If we ever need to pull this off we need some heavy manipulation and or some type of hypnotization technique, jk. Thanks for the heads up, I'll get a haircut
