Name an anime you watched all the way through but never fully understood the plot. I have two: Strike the Blood and K Project. I enjoyed these anime without ever fully understanding what they were about lol.

Earl & Fairy, just watched it too.

I don't know if I spaced out watching it, or the dialog just randomly changes, but I never understood the ultimate objective.

I´ll have to make an obvious mention for Evangelion. I haven´t met a single person that understood Eva the first time he or she saw it.

And also Akira, the classic movie that everybody should watch at least one time in their lives. The story is not so easy to follow, but it is still worth watching just for the animation and the fact that this movie made anime relevant around the world and not just in Japan.

Really? Death Note is one of my absolute favorite anime and I feel that I grasped the plot fairly well.

What's hard to understand about a group of pubescent teens and the life lessons they learn each episode? xD

I recall something like that happening when I watched Le Chevalier D'Eon. I quite liked the historical setting, but certain aspects of the politics, factions, and characters were completely lost on me. Perhaps I could understand it better a second time through, but after one viewing, I really had very little idea what the heck was going on.

I only understood the ending of Madoka Magica after watching the last episode like 3 or 4 times. Up until then it was fine but maybe i just wasn't paying attention enough or abstractly enough to get it the first time. Probably just me.

Angel's Egg. I don't want to even try explaining what it is about. It's a really intriguing movie though.

You didn't understand Strike the Blood D: . Anyways I watched Mekakucity Actors and it made no sense at all to me. Also watched Bakemonogatari, enjoyed it a lot but didn't completely understand it.
