I haven't seen every episode but I've watched a fair amount of the Ghost in the Shell series and I can't understand it.

Serial Experiments Lain though I haven't finished it yet and with that one, I understand it is probably necessary to watch all the way through first... I probably still won't understand it though.

I didn't entirely follow No. 6, probably didn't help that I took some time between episodes.

I'm not that smart. I'd probably have trouble with Dragon Ball Z. *shrug*

I'm usually pretty good with complicated and ambiguous shows, but Concrete Revolutio left me stumped.

It was my own fault though - I was writing an assignment on the youth movements of 1960's Japan at the same time, so I got fixated on the references and kept expecting its message to relate to the death of the Japanese left wing (in my defense, not that far-fetched for a show from the writer of Angel Cop and FMA 2003) when really, the main message was probably something about idealism vs realism that I just didn't pay proper attention to.

You didn't understand Strike the Blood D: . Anyways I watched Mekakucity Actors and it made no sense at all to me. Also watched Bakemonogatari, enjoyed it a lot but didn't completely understand it.

Mekaku city Actors really did make no sense. The only reason I finished was because the music was amazing and the visuals were beautiful.

Name an anime you watched all the way through but never fully understood the plot. I have two: Strike the Blood and K Project. I enjoyed these anime without ever fully understanding what they were about lol.

Was I the only person who completely understood the story behind K?

Evangelion & Ergo Proxy are shows I didn't fully understand after watching them, but now that I do they're in my top 6.

I did not understand Mekakucity Actors at all even though I watched the whole thing it didn't make sense to me either. I'm glad other people didn't understand what they watched of it either because I thought it was just me.

Already watched 3 times and today started 4th cause it is on crunchyroll now. But still I don't have even slightest idea what's going on in the end.

I think I spent a day or so reading theories and interpretations of The Big O after I finished. Great show.

Nope I got The K series also! Though to be fair I can see why it might be hard to get. Usually I can get most series even the rather difficult ones like Lain. Its more that their are moments in series were even I'm not sure what to think or what's going on.

Akira. Although it's been what, 25 years or more since I saw it, I remember being confused AF. I finally just gave up and just enjoyed the pretty colors. I should probably watch it again one of these days.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. Some of it I got, much of it I didn't. Especially the Laughing Man part, and most of the political intrigue. For some reason political intrigue is always hard for me to follow.

Dead Leaves. Me after watching it: Um... they were all part of some cloning experiment or something? Or a TV head/giant drill dick experiment? I.. I can't... my brain hurts...

I see a lot of people mentioning FLCL... I did have to watch it 3 or 4 times before I felt like I really had a handle on everything that was going on.
