Amusing! Terrorism is not something which is exclusive to the middle east. The very statement of such a fallacy is laughable.

So the majority of refugees are what? Guilty civilians?

Religious fanatics.

I see. So religious fanatics are not people. Guess creationists aren't people.

That's basically the point though, really. They want people to blame Islam. Not only does it feed into their whole little holy war dream but it makes for great recruiting propaganda. Every time a country and/or people freak out about Muslims, Arabs, etc it just bankrolls them. Thats why the US's political rhetoric is so bloody aggravating. You're handing them exactly what they want.

Its a lot easier to convince potential recruits that the western world is at war with Islam when you can just play back clips from congress.

GoldenLawyer,

Please ignore such posts, replying to it only incites more of that behaviour.

@Razor_Girl,

Runec's post was indeed incredibly accurate.

This is a good read. Odd sub to find this on, but very good insight nonetheless.

Oh yeah. I said this as soon as all the "news" started with Isis a long time ago. Showing them flag waving and gun toting on our worldwide news feed is exactly playing into their hands. That coupled with all the local yokels wanting to judge and persecute anyone with brown skin.

Heck there was an article and brief news excerpt even on the national news back before thanksgiving of a local Islamic foundation in my home town wanting to build a mosque just down the road from me next door to a local community center.

The local leader even had a few open houses where bigots showed up and told him that they needed to leave and no mosque should be allowed there, etc. etc.

Then the whole tragedy in France happened and he called off all other meetings until after the holidays, meanwhile someone else snuck in and bought the property. I never found out if there were ulterior motives to it, but I can speculate.
