Hey! Just wondering if there are any LGBT+ characters or relationships, or even LGBT anime, in general, out there?

There are some. I'll start with:

L - Yurikuma Arashi
G - Love Stage!
B - um, I can't think of anything specific
T - Wandering Son. Also Steins;Gate has a character who is.

On the B, its a bit of a grey area but one could argue for Shin Sekai Yori, and I definitely would go with the character you're thinking of from SG as being transgender considering their story arc. Other than that I'd toss in Sasameki Koto for L.

Touya and Yukito from Cardcaptor Sakura were in love with each other.
The nice thing about the show was that it treated their relationship with respect. They weren't all over each other or the stereotypical gay couple. ,

There's a scene where some of their classmates say that it strange that neither of them had girlfriends.

I've yet to see it, but I've heard many people say Tokyo Godfathers from the late Satoshi Kon had one of the best written trans character in anime.

Hey so I was just wondering, are there any male gay couples in anime? I mean besides the ones that are meant to be titillating. I can think of a good few lesbian couples in anime that fit that bill but the only two male ones I can think of are Brody and Hummer from Blood Blockade Battlefront and Sakura's brother and that one other guy from Cardcaptor Sakura. Maybe I just need to watch more stuff.

L/B - Revolutionary Girl Utena - The movie is a bit more straightforward than the show itself. It's by the same director as Yumikuma Arashi. The tv series is on Hulu.

G - Gravitation - though this is OOP now

L - Sweet Blue Flowers - I admit I stopped watching this after a couple of episodes, so I don't know how realistic the relationships are

G - no.6
The relationship is respectfully represented, and the anime is just very good and touching (and underated imo)

L/G-Does Code Gayass, considering its not about the relationship and more about hawt knightmare loving and bondage

otherwise

L/G/B/T-Simoun, trans girls awaiting gender confirmation with jihard bombers and black hole dance planes, good war mellowdrama, lots of gender discrimation on both the male and female sides as well. Ends with some clear Yuri and Yaoi parings. Lots of Trans folks in the anime and almost everyone is bi

Edit:
Wait a sec, love stage actually a non hentai anime!? Did they keep the sex/humping/tit scenes in?
I remember the manga being pretty nice fap material though and a most likely made in a fujioshi's wet dream

Love Stage! was actually edited for the anime to be pretty PG-13. Though the manga definitely has some more "graphic" moments, they focus more on the other aspects of the story.
