Hey VampireValor, it sounds you're much a responsible person, all I can, say, you are a responsible adult. And no, its not wrong to do the things you like/want/etc. And yeah, red tape is srs. business.

I too am in my 20's and I don't have such problems, lol. X3 (I too enjoy what i like, same as any other would here on CR. XD Although...I hardly post on CR...>.>)

(Also, aren't most of us posting here "grown ups" anyways? That's not something your parents would say lightly to you. >.> Besides, you already make the responsible decisions anyways! )'-')7)

i say sit them down and put on elfen lied. that should take care of the cartoon problem.
tho really, understand the stress they are in. its hard on a parent to rely on his kids, its supposed to be the other way around.
tho really, just ignore them. if you helping out with bills, working on getting a second job, just think of them as over grown kids and deal accordingly.

Being an adult means you can do whatever the hell you want on your day off. I'm in my early 30's. I sometimes veg out in my PJs watching anime and eating cereal. I feel working 44 hours a week has earned me the right.

You don't need to grow up, they need to relax.

Im 28, married, and have two jobs. TBH my in-laws are very back-handed with me attending cons and cosplaying. We've been married three years going on four and don't have any children. So....needless to say the pressure is on.

Don't let someone delegate how you should live your life and what social standards expect or even society from your relationship with yourself even!

Kick ass and live on!

Says the people who see their child as still a kid and the parents wish they were young, yeah okay.

RunningWithTheWolves but it's just because I don't think they ever truly stop seeing us as their children.

I think that's it. I'm living with my parents again ( ) and my mother is like "It's late, go to bed now" as if I'm needing to be told when I should go to bed lol

I have children of my own and my mother still refers to me as the baby cause I'm the youngest of three brothers.

I'm at that point when I am way more mature than my mother, and more patient than my father. There's a certain level of decorum (diplomacy?) involved in addressing aging parents. Mental issues begin to double down once they reach their 70s. Personality disorders, dementia, etc. It's like walking on eggshells, sometimes. They become defensive, reactionary, suspicious... It's a bit sad, really.

I suppose that what I am suggesting is that one day the tables turn, and it isn't much fun when it happens.
