see kids, this is what trolling and actual /pol/ crazy does

/pol/ didn't try to hide it. Thing is, they noticed something very important that MS still hasn't admitted:

MS had it programmed to talk in slang, /pol/'s interactions caused Tay to speak in improved grammar.

That should keep you up at night. /pol/ improved the grammar of MS' deathbot.

of course there would be flaws. i would expect nothing from the same geniuses who created Win 8 and 10. those OSes are fucking shitshows.

all the people complaining about how the AI they apparently have in China is "better" seem to have the misconception that China actually has an open internet. China will censor fucking anything, they've censored a damn good chunk of foreign websites. and while proxies DO exist, a limited CN AI probably couldn't access them and snoop outside of CN sites. that's what people don't get. culturally there's also a huge difference, and Chinese trolls probably wouldn't want to fuck with an AI because you can be arrested for doing the simplest of things in China lmao. a combination of factors would of course differentiate the Chinese AI from the american one, and the chinese one probably isn't a twitter bot either, that people can interact with as openly. Tay was an open book, it absorbed whatever the fuck people fed her, and if it was fed in mass quantities along the lines of the /pol/ front, of course it was going to absorb it. the software had no filtering system in place either.

Americans are all too willing to exploit the AI's loopholes. we're purposely offensive as fuck, moreover, 4chan is offensive as fuck purposefully, they enjoy trolling, they revel in it. tbh i don't mind it, at least it shows MS that they need to put some filtering in their damn software.

whoever there thought this was a good idea is probably the same braindead fuck that thought the layouts and properties for Win 8 and 10 were revolutionary or some shit, when they were just massive fails as operating systems and pitiful attempts at cloning apple's tiled layout. what those shitlawds really need to focus on at MS is bringing back something akin to Win 7. otherwise my next computer is gonna be a linux or a mac.

The AI sounds like it's trying to hard to be cool, or something. lol

This is an opportunity for the programmers; program the damned thing to not be so sensitive to trolls, and adjust various other things. The way it trolls is more incoherent than even the average trolling.

Way ahead of you, buddy.

I am honored that the real life Skynet is named after me. Maybe I will be the last to be terminated.

TLDR: "I can't see the value of AI or robots so they must be worthless and even worse, dangerous!"

You seem to have a very self-centered worldview, lack critical and abstract thinking skills or empathy, or at the very least you lack imagination.

I feel sorry for you.

I'm curious though -- was going to the moon useless too, in your view?

I feel sorry for you actually believing that machines could have emotions. I'm guessing you've watched too many films like WALL.E

As for going to the moon, it wasn't really useful. But at least it wouldn't have had a negative impact on society.

Not sure where you got that idea.

But, this confirms pretty much everything I have inferred about you. You just can't think beyond the end of your nose. I find it hard to deal with people like that, and very tiring.

So, good day.

Because the idea of robots you seem to be thinking of are like the robot in WALL.E... that sort of thing is fine in a lighthearted Disney film but it isn't real life.

It wasn't particularly useful as I've said, but going to the moon I have no issue with. It didn't really have any negative implications (apart from the people on the actual rocket). But creating robots that can imitate emotions could have incredibly negative implications for society. It seems like a huge gamble when there isn't even anything to gain.
