Let me know if a thread like this one exist or not.
Thank a bunches.

So, I noticed lately but really I always sort of known that there are so many misanthropists on the internet. Why is that? There are barely some off the internet. I just wonder why that is. Has anybody else noticed it too? Why are there so many people hating humanity online? Explain?

Bonus Questions:

1) Are you misanthropic?

2) Are human being ugly or beautiful creatures?

Enjoy!!!

Two reasons.

1. People are more open about how they really feel when hidden behind a screen. It's easier for most people to tell people that they hate them or people in general on here than to their faces.

2. The people who like other people are out... with other people... and the rest of us are inside, alone, on the computer complaining about it.

I think there's actually a lot of misanthropists, but people are too scared to say so/try to hide it IRL.

So some people use online as a safe haven?

I think that perception is largely because it's more socially acceptable to express one's misanthropy on the internet than off it.

When I was younger I was something of a misanthropist, but over the years I've mostly changed my mind. Yeah people can be pretty ugly, but I think I've also had more opportunities to see people being pretty decent, and I've developed more compassion for people in general. Like sure, maybe humankind is worthy of hate, but we're all in this big mess of existence together so what's the point of hating really.

Oh no! Sometimes I actually do post just because a topic interests me. Maybe I need to make more of a habit of that!

1) Are you misanthropic?
Yes I suppose in the classic meaning of the word. But considering I have seen many sides of humanity I think I am justified in such a belief. After having viewed my fellow man as little more then things to be killed I may be slightly biased truth be told.

2) Are human being ugly or beautiful creatures?
I've seen humanity through the scope of a rifle, I've seen them as twisted diseased creatures only deserving of death. I've seen them do nothing but harm. But at the same time I've stood besides men and women who are shining examples of humanity . I was raised by such a shining example of humanity. And to truly answer you're question I say it's not as simple as all that. Humanity is physically, physiologically, and spiritually the most complicated known species. And to say we're one thing or the other in such absolute terms is both foolish and ignorant of what humanity truly is and is capable of.

The primary question seems to have been answered, so I'll skip that.

I waffle between liking and hating my species as a whole. Mainly because I know so many genuinely good people, but the world at large seems to be a contest on who can be more hateful.

In the end I consider humanity beautiful in the same way I would a natural disaster, a sort of "wow that's impressive!"

Good question, Haters don't really hate you, they hate themselves;
because you're a reflection of what they wish to be.

You're going to have explain the logic behind that to me. I may be only a soldier but I am smart enough to know the things I detest I have no desire to emulate in any way, shape, or fashion. Just because somebody may hate something does not mean they are envious of it or them. And I rather hold umbrage with your opinion stating so, in fact I think it rather stupid to make such a blanket statement concerning such things. To me it reeks of trying to appear wiser then you are.
