Good question, Haters don't really hate you, they hate themselves;

You're going to have explain the logic behind that to me. I may be only a soldier but I am smart enough to know the things I detest I have no desire to emulate in any way, shape, or fashion. Just because somebody may hate something does not mean they are envious of it or them. And I rather hold umbrage with your opinion stating so, in fact I think it rather stupid to make such a blanket statement concerning such things. To me it reeks of trying to appear wiser then you are.

That's my point of view, my friend.

PD: Whenever you argue with another wiser than yourself in order that others may admire your wisdom, they will discover your ignorance, and that one may be whichever of we both.

I'm misanthropic. But you wouldn't know it offline. I'm generally only a dick to those who are a dick to me or my friends. And when people are saying stupid shit. That too.

You don't really see misanthropes out interacting with people because...well they hate people. In general, it's much easier to come clean about oneself from the "anonymity" of the internet as opposed to doing it in person. I am a bit of a misanthrope. Every day I hear or read something that someone says or does that increases my disdain for people in general. Finally, there are beautiful as well as ugly people; probably more ugly than beautiful people.

I always figured everyone is all the time and just don't say it.

Because there are a lot of fantasy-indulging showoffs on the Internet. Most of them in high school.

Me, I'm an optimistic misanthrope:
I believe that people can work together to create a better world, after we all stop acting like regressive fourth-graders!!!

two reasons for that
1) the internet brings out all the ugliness of people and very little of the good so its easy too hate "internet people"

2) real misanthropes would not go out into public because the definition of being a misanthrope is: a person who dislikes humankind and avoids human society. its right there in the definition misanthropes will stay out of sight in real life

There are more 'misanthropists' on the internet because there's a feeling of anonymity. While we can never truly be anonymous while maintaining a internet connection the feeling is still there. To tell you the truth; we're here to vent.

Humans are...

Messages on the internet are generally lasting a longer time than off-handed comments made outside... That one time Bob or Sally disparaged all of humanity while in line at the DMV isn't saved on a server and displayed as a comment under a video. Online, many more people see every stupid utterance of every person that makes the little effort to post them. Conversely, benign comments aren't worth posting anyway, if someone is indifferent on a particular topic they probably won't bother to comment, " I'm indifferent ".

Assuming a false dichotomy that one either is or isn't misanthropic or not based solely off of whether or not social interaction occurs.

1. I absolutely abhor people. They're stupid, they take eveything for granted, they abuse things (such as laws or privileges), they're(largely in the country I reside in, but not exclusive to it.) unnecessarily violent, uncontrollable, unpredictable, etc. There have been many strides that have been made that look good on paper but will never work because it takes two to tango. So yah. I have a very strong dislike for many people.

2. We live in an age where it is near impossible to survive without some sort of interaction. You need money to eat, live, clothe, shelter, entertain yourself, etc.. You need a job to make this money. You need contacts to have a realistic chance of getting a job that is self-sustaining. And on and on and on.

Ignorant post is ignorant.
