Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

I had an unfortunate accident at the club I recently went to..it appears I had too much alcohol causing a great debility in my bodily functions and my phone went straight down the toilet. Good bye I-phone. So, upon this calamity which to my surprise did not engender any sort of consternation as I was still a bit wobbly, It was a bit distressing to see the phone's caustic behavior. Alas, i had to contend in finding a new phone and came across the Galaxy and in order to avoid any sort of dejection I bought it. Does anyone have any sort of dissension in my decision and if so what is your reason. I appreciate all types of exhorts and will take all into careful consideration. Ultimately, I just want a phone that will provide me 100% euphoria and solace.

S7 looks like a pretty cool phone. supposed to be water-proof and can be submerged for half-an hour or so. :p
looks like a nice upgrade for someone who lost their phone because of water damage.

I think everything about the phone is pretty great, except for the blaring problem:

Non- removable battery.

Instead of getting a new battery if damaged, you'll have to purchase an entirely new phone, or have to send it off to someone for (probably expensive) repairs.

Bummer about the phone. May you grow to love your new one. I have nothing specific to say about the Galaxy, as I've been faithfully devoted to my aging iPhone for many years.

Moved this to the Advice, Info, Recommendations forum, though it seems you already bought the phone so ... not sure exactly what you are looking for, but hopefully whatever advice, info, or recommendations that pop up will be consoling at the least.

I sell cellphones. While the phone has only been out a few weeks, we have had the fewest returns and exchanges with the galaxy S7 and S7 Edge that i can remember in the 4 years i have been with my current company. Even it's predecessor and the i6s can't say that much. Those two phones were plagued with problems and people were returning them and exchanging them left and right.

At least in the days i have been working since launch we have had ONE S7Edge exchanged for a regular S7 because the person ended up liking the smaller size better, not due to there being anything wrong.

I am personally an LG Phone guy, but imho you can't really go wrong with the S7.

Thanks for the input. I can still return it but I usually don't return items unless I find a good enough reason which is why I posted this here little topic. Also, I would look at the reviews at the manufacturers site but who knows who is writing up those reviews. So far it looks like I didn't make a terrible decision under the alcoholic influence.

I've got it. I like it, just annoyed that for some reason the UK isn't good enough for the silver one. The gold is too bling for me and the black is a bit boring.

The phone's gonna feel just as good as your iPhone, if not better than it. Perhaps you should spend some time with the Android OS and see if its to your flavor since you were using the iPhone before. One of my biggest issues with android phones is the how many apps aren't that optimized and the android OS itself not being as 'polished' (debatable by some standards) as iOS.

However a huge upside is the customizability of android without having to jailbreak like iOS, as well as the plethora of apps in the store and the ease of installation when an app isn't available in your country.

I just upgraded to the Galaxy S7 and so far I am really happy. The rep I was working with told me that the S7 Edge was actually just a money sink and that there was not enough difference to justify the increased price. I don't know how true that it, but like I said I like my S7. It is allegedly water-proof (no intention of testing this) and I really enjoy the interface and camera options. I switched to Samsung a while back and have been please over all. I do hear good things about the LG but cannot personally speak one way or the other.
