When you were a little kid, how did you think babies were made?

My mom taught us from a super young age how babies are really made. (She's a nurse.) So I always knew the actual process, even if I didn't totally understand it back then.

I thought you just pooped them out... until I was introduced to adult cartoons lol My parents didn't give me the talk; South Park, Family Guy, and stand up comedy did xD

That they somehow came out of a mother's belly. A neighbor had a "pregnant" Barbie with a little baby that fits in it's stomach. That, and my Mom let me touch her belly when she was carrying my little sis. Dogs and cats gave away how the "pregnancy" part happened.

When I was young I had no idea. I asked my mom and she told me how babies come to be. I didn't really understand most of it at the time though.

My parents were pretty honest with me, so I knew but never really thought about it. Dunno...was more concerned with playing house or with my Strawberry Shortcake dolls to really care about those things. Simpler times.

My teacher taught me that mummy and daddy would go to a "honey moon" - the moon made out of honey. And that they'd stay on the moon for a month .............. I knew I was lied to when they started teaching us about puberty though I never talked to that teacher again....

When a sperm cell of the male fertilizes the mother's egg cell, and they fuse to become a zygote.

-just, at the time, I didn't know where the sex organs of a human were located, much less if they existed at all...

I just thought that babies came from mothers' tummies. I didn't stop to wonder how they got in there or how the babies would come out. My siblings and I aged 3-6, educated the children at school about it. They'd been told they came from storks and the more modern parents told them they were brought by aeroplane.

My parents gave me a rather...explicit children's book about where babies come from. I was a bit surprised as a kid, but now I'm horrified that my parents would give me such a thing when I was 5.
