21, because I could go to jail. 18 when you're out of school, or perhaps sixteen, hmmm. TBH, I'm....MADD that I can't drink at 18. This makes me....SADD.

I start to drinking at 15 but that was at party. 14+ is a fine age to start drinking but it's good to know your limits Be smart and safe about it. Don't be one of those guys who over drinks... Ofc don't get caught by the police for underage drinking.

In Canada, you're not allow to drink until 18(or 19, varies depending province) publicly but on your property you're allowed to drink at any age under parental supervision. (I think)

Do you mean time of day or age?

Age should be 21 imo. Younger people who start drinking are more likely to become alcoholics and make really stupid decisions.

If you mean what time of the day then I'd say whenever you feel like you want to. Maybe not super early in the morning though.

Age wise:

16 for beer, wines and low alcoholic mix drinks, but only when under supervision of an adult in the right place and at the right time.
18 for unsupervised drinking of low alcoholic beverages.
21 for the heavier stuff. (18 only when under supervision.)

Time wise:
Time, place, situation.
On work days I don't drink at all anymore, in the weekends after 9 PM unless I'm at a party but even then not earlier than 5 PM.
On vacations I do allow myself to let the restrains fair a little, though no sooner than lunch and especially in this case the time, place and situation clause applies.

Very European of you. I tend to think the same way.

My dad let me have sips of beer at the age of 12. Even gave me a whole one. I would drink a bit then give it to him.

My dad would let me drink beer/wine once-twice a day when I was 16. When I was 18 I could have some heavier Schnapps and spirits, but only in moderation. By the time I hit 21 years old I knew my limit better than most everyone and don't abuse alcohol (while I do enjoy it).

As for the time of day... I tend to drink around 8PM on the weekends, and depending on what I am doing/how many people are there... I will drink for 30 minutes or until dawn. Social drinking is the bane of my existence.

Also, happy hour for my parents/grandparents when I am home is 2PM.

Not sure about age. Depends on the individual. I drank heavily when I was 18.

For time, I structure it around when I want to sleep. Alcohol makes me sleepy. I don't drink much so I usually won't start unless I'm planning to crash in a few hours.

As far as age, depends on the person.

Time of day?

I'll say noonish.

Time of day: Anytime, with food. at least 3:45PM during the day without food.

Age: Bare minimum 10years, with food (mostly wine pairings or lightly spiked cocktails).

Mentality: When one is responsible enough to know their limits and can handle the consequences (if any).

I feel it should be fluid, but 14-16 seems fairly appropriate to start very, very light drinking with strict supervision, but reserve heavier drinks/drinking for 18+. I grew up being well-informed of the potential side-effects and darker side, as well as appreciating the culinary side of alcohol. I've gone so far as to research on "how to drink" to learn to approach alcohol in a way that minimizes drunkenness and alcohol-induced dehydration. I'm very much a "foodie," and seek deliciousness and creativity rather than a buzz.

Time of day? Whenever people feel like.
