The legal drinking age should be switched to 19 so that drinking is still kept out of high schools, but the critical group of underage drinkers would no longer be breaking the law.

Age-wise my parents started letting me have sips or very small amounts of alcohol on special occasions starting around 10 or 12. I didn't really start drinking until after 21 when it became legal.

Time-wise.. well, it's always 5 o'clock somewhere.

More seriously, just drink according to your own schedule. For example, if you know you're going to need to drive or go to work soon, don't drink - no matter what time it is. On the other hand, if you have the day off and feel like kicking back and relaxing for a while, then go ahead and crack open a beer, even if it's 9 in the morning. But then, I'm the sort that doesn't give a crap what other people think, I'm just going to do what makes sense for myself.

The acceptable time for social drinkers is always when other people around you start to drink

As far as age, depends on the person.

Time of day?

If you mean time of day I would say after your meals.
Breakfast - Bloody Mary, mimosa, or bellini
Lunch - Long island iced tea or a light wine
Supper - wine, beer what ever is your preference.

Weekends and celebrations

i think in your twenties, because it's more likely you know what the heck you are doing (Maybe)

also, i prefer drinking with friends and family in a relaxed enviorment over shite clubs where you have to scream to even be heard

I agree with this, especially because I went to high school with some very irresponsible and childish individuals who would've been much worse had they been permitted alcohol.

As a rule I don't think anyone should be drinking anything alcoholic before 11 AM but I had an uncle (an unrepentant alcoholic and a police officer) who used to day "It's twelve o' clock somewhere."

I didn't start drinking till I was 22.

Probably 21 is a good age. You want to make sure your body is properly matured before destroying it.

I agree with this as well. The draft I think is 18? My dad always said if your old enough to go to war and shoot people, you are old of enough to drink.

I say drink whenever you feel inclined to regardless of age. At least when I drank at age 15 all I ever suffered from was crashing my bike. lmao, good ol days.
