Just a question I was thinking about. When I go out to eat in America I get absurdly large portions of food, but the quality of the food tends to be lack luster. When I am eating in Germany, I get just enough to eat, but the quality is amazing.

Of course there are large quantities of quality food, but those places are A) Expensive as hell and B ) Rare.

So, the question. Do you prefer quality of food or quantity of food?

Bonus Question) America eats the worlds most meat. Do you think we eat too much meat with every meal?

Edit
: Seeing as so far people agree with quality > quantity... then why does the USA give such large portions of par food? Is it cultural issues? The lack of proper health education?

I tend to think it is the two suggested. Most people don't know to eat small meals at a slow pace to not overeat. In the USA, bigger is better generally. So you have a large plate of food you devour and end up eating more than needed to fill you up. Also, with the abundance of dehydrating liquids, people think thirst is hunger, causing them to eat more.

Quality, always.

The only time I consider quantity over quality is when I'm randomly throwing food at people. I never throw organic food at people.

Quality.
Btw, have you ever been to Golden Corral?
Lots of food but not that good.

Yes Americans eat too much meat.

I have been to many buffets, including Golden Corral. The food quality has been well below sub par. The only buffet I enjoyed was on a Caribbean cruise... ofc you paid the price for it.

It is quality rather than quantity that matters.

PD: My point of view so you don't have to agree with it, cause If you agree with me on 9 out of 12 issues, fine. But If you agree with me on 12 out of 12 issues, see a psychiatrist. haha Cheers!

Generally if go to one of the chain restaurants (like the previously mentioned Golden Corral) your not going to get quality, your going to get a lot of cheap food. They specialize in cheap meals.

You can go to a good restaurant and pay what you'd pay to feed a family of four at Golden Corral etc for one person.

Mhm, now the question I beg of thee, quality or quantity. Which do you prefer?

Depends on how low a quality we're talking

Depends. Quality is a luxury, quantity is not.

It depends on certain circumstances. For example if I were going on a date then I would go someplace where the quality was top priority. However if its the night before a marathon then I'm going to look for quantity so you can carb load.

Quality over quantity always. That's my rule of life.

Quality generally, but I am willing to make a trade offs for speed and price if I don't feel like paying or going out of my way for a quality restaurant.

Haha I think it was a motto I picked up from my nursing career. You tend to look at things differently when you see life slip by too many times. And actually, I did run and work out a lot until a recent health issue put a hold on things
